3rd Person Pov:
"May I please have an ID card?" A guard asked as the wolf stood in front of the door. The wolf showed his ID card and the guard nodded as he let him pass. The wolf put his hand on the doorknob and sighed softly as he prepared himself. What was on the other side of the door was kinda a big deal to him. These sessions either ruined his job or made his life easier. He slowly turned the knob and stepped inside the room as soon as the door was wide enough to let him through. The door slowly shut itself and the wolf was met with cold, pitch black darkness. He breathed out as he tugged on his white doctor coat, seeing his own breath in the dark. "Stupid blackout." He mumbled, remembering what happened earlier. A blackout had occurred in the building which affected most rooms and electricity. This was one of those rooms that had no light nor good temperature. "Ira? Where are you?" The wolf asked in a sing-song voice. He quietly made his way toward the table in the middle of the room and sat down in a seat. "Gadget? Is that you?" A voice questioned from a dark corner. "Yes, it is. Come on out. I only get to be here with you for a while today." Gadget replied, knowing which corner his patient was in. He heard footsteps and then he saw the jackal slowly sit on the opposite side of the table. The jackal had a straitjacket on and so struggled to walk over and sit down with only his legs available to him. Gadget felt bad for him and had the desire to help get that thing off of him but, he not allowed to. He would lose his job because Sonic said he would be a dangerous threat if released.

"Did you bring me anything?" Ira asked, leaning toward the table with a smile. "I did but, I'll give it to you at the end. For now, I'm here for your usual appointments." Gadget replied, winking. Ira chuckled softly and Gadget looked down at his clipboard to see his usual questions to ask. "How do you feel?" The wolf asked, getting his pen ready. "I'm fine as always. I have the craziest thoughts about escaping this hell of a place and killing everyone in here. The usual really." Ira replied, shifting in his seat a bit.

Gadget nodded slowly and wrote down a summary of Ira's response. "Are you comfortable with me as your doctor?" The wolf asked, looking away slightly. This question always brought upon him some type of pain as he worried the jackal would say something extremely rude. "Aw, you know the answer to that, sweetie. You're the only doctor that can keep me at bay and the only one I don't wanna kill." Ira explained, giving Gadget a wink. The wolf blushed and hid his face behind the clipboard as he wrote down the jackal's response.

Or at least, an untruthful version of it. If anyone knew about their type of relationship, everything would end between them. "Anything else that you would like to tell me?" Gadget asked, putting his clipboard down on the table. "Two things. One a normal comment and the other a realization." Ira replied, smiling. Gadget had a confused gaze as he never heard those words come out from the jackal's mouth. Let alone anything after his usual questions. "Should I admit this? I should, you are my doctor after all." Ira mumbled, his smile never leaving.

"If you wish for me to keep it a secret then, that can be done. I'll just have to write an untruthful version of you said, don't worry." Gadget reassured, patting Ira's head. "I wanna leave this place with you. Once I escape from this straitjacket, I'll kill everyone here and make sure you are the one who is kept alive. Then, I'll return to conquering this pathetic world. With you by my side." Ira explained, leaning toward Gadget. The wolf had a huge blush on his face that was so red that it was visible in the dark.

"A-And the second thing?" Gadget questioned, stuttering after the last comment. "I need to get a closer look of your face for this one. Come closer into the light." Ira ordered as he leaned into the window's light. Gadget slowly leaned in as well. Ira examined Gadget's face carefully, his eyes tracing each part of his face. The silence was throughout the room with only the small and gentle patter of the rain outside. Ira's eyes finally landed on Gadget's lips and he lingered his gaze there. Gadget noticed and was wondering if he should lean in and kiss him.

Ira was about to lean in until he stopped at the last minute which made Gadget flinch slightly. "As I thought, there was no stain near your lips. Perhaps an illusion?" Ira spoke, his voice sending shivers down Gadget's spine. They both sat down on their chairs and Gadget's pushed his glasses up on his nose once again. "I see well, I believe I can give you a present for being a good patient." Gadget spoke, rummaging through his doctor's coat. "What is it?" Ira asked. "I brought you a kitten." Gadget responded, showing a stuffed tiny kitten doll.

"How thoughtful. But, you know what present would make my day even better?" Ira responded, smiling deviously. Gadget shook his head and carefully waited for Ira's response. "The Phantom Ruby." Ira replied, chuckling. "The Phantom Ruby?" Gadget questioned and Ira nodded quickly. Gadget looked down for a second until his watch beeped notifying his time with Ira was over. "I must go, Ira." Gadget spoke, getting up and walking toward the door. "But, I will keep your suggestion in mind. If possible." He added, smiling and giving him a final wink for the day. "Thank you, Doctor. See you tomorrow." Ira replied, doing the same thing.

They might get caught, maybe they won't. They don't mind.
