Loki held Rhaegal's reins with sure hands, using the maneuvers they had practiced together to avoid Surtur. The King of Muspelheim and former Lord of Light seemed concentrated on Loki and did not see Thor come flying at him from Kings Landing. Mjolnir cracked the Fire Giant across the jaw and toppled him to the ground. Loki turned and saw Thor summon his hammer back to him. "Glad you have returned, Loki. And it would appear you've brought reinforcements," Thor commented.
"Indeed! I'm sure Heimdall and Odin were shocked when they saw such a large gathering of Jotuns. You'll have to assure them when you return that Helbindi means them no harm and only desires to support Daenerys' claim to her own lands," Loki informed him. Thor grinned a little as they both looked at Surtur. The Fire Giant glared at the two and shouldered his sword.
"You think you have a chance to defeat me?"
"We'll give as good as we get," Thor responded. Loki pulled on Rhaegal's reins and the dragon swooped in. Loki summoned a spear, turning it into ice in his hand and threw it at Surtur. The Muspel batted it to the side, destroying the weapon, but that left him open to Mjolnir. Thor came crashing in from the side, knocking Surtur off kilter. Loki swung around and sent Rhaegal flying under Surtur's arm.
"Forsiktig, Rhaegal. Dette er en fiende som vi ikke har råd til å være uforsiktige rundt (Careful, Rhaegal. This is a foe we cannot afford to be careless around)," Loki commanded. The dragon snorted a response and maneuvered, allowing Loki to throw knives up under Surtur's armpit. The giant felt the sting and turned about, trying to see where Loki was. Loki twisted his torso and Rhaegal reacted accordingly. Surtur missed him again, and Thor came surging up from below, striking the giant a blow to the jaw. Loki conjured another spear and jumped off Rhaegal's back, landing on Surtur's and stabbing the spear in between two of his vertebrae. Surtur reached back and clamped his hand around Loki. Loki winced and drew his knife and stuck it in between his knuckles. But Surtur ignored it like it was a fly that had stung him. He raised Loki saw that he attempted to use his magic. Surtur squeezed hard and Loki stiffened in his grasp.
"Loki!" Thor cried and he attempted to liberate him, but the Lord of Light batted him to the side.
"What is this? You ride a dragon like a Tagaryen, you summon your real brother like the Jotun scum you are, and you fight beside Thor like an Asgardian. You wear many masks," Surtur taunted.
"I'm a shifter; I have many masks to wear," Loki retorted. He shifted into his Jotun blue and bared his fangs. That was when Rhaegal came in and took a bite out of Surtur's ear. The giant cursed and reached out for Rhaegal. "Fly, Rhaegal! Kom deg bort! Ikke bekymre deg for meg! (Fly, Rhaegal! Get away! Don't worry about me!)" Loki begged. The dragon refused and hovered just out of his reach and dodged Surtur's grasp. "Vær så snill! Gå! (Please! Go!)" Loki struggled in Surtur's hands, but the giant had him well in hand. Thor came back in again and he worked in coordination with the dragon. Loki's red eyes watched as the God of Thunder and the Dragon of the God of Mischief worked almost in sync. Loki finally closed his eyes and held his hands out. "Kom till mig, mästaren på is och snö. Prinsen av mörkret kallar Jotunheims hjärta; kyrkan av gamla vintrar! (Come to me, the Master of Ice and Snow. The Prince of Darkness calls on the Heart of Jotunheim; the Casket of Ancient Winters!)" Loki incanted. A shadow fell over the sun and everyone looked up. The wind picked up and a chill filled the air.
Helbindi grinned as he placed Kaldtorg across his shoulders, his white teeth flashing. "My king," General Nadir greeted as approached his monarch. "The Muspels are being driven back, but there is a situation out on the water."
"Blackwater Bay? The two Greyjoy fleets?" Helbindi queried.
"Aye, your majesty. The fleet that is defending the port of Kings Landing is being overcome. Should we give them aid?" General Nadir asked. Helbindi turned and smirked again at his commanding officer.
"Of course. Send the ice mages to forge a path to the enemy ships. I want to surprise them," Helbindi ordered. Nadir bowed and went in search of their ice mages. Helbindi turned to his polar bear and patted its snout. "Klar för lite äventyr på höga havet, Timur? (Ready for a little adventure on the high seas, Timur?)" the King of Jotunheim queried. The polar bear in question snorted and fixed his rider with his red eyes. He looked bored. "Jag vet. Du vill festa på våra fienders kött. Oroa dig inte; du får mata bra idag. (I know. You want to feast on the flesh of our enemies. Don't worry; you'll be fed well this day)," Helbindi informed his mount. He swung up into the saddle and extended Kaldtorg, pointing at the ships. "Take to the seas! Slay the traitors!" he commanded and his Jotuns began to charge the cliffs.
"What are they doing?" Bronn asked incredulously.
"That's a fifty-foot drop!" Robb declared. Sansa just smiled as she watched the ice mages begin to use their powers and forge a path. Helbindi led the charge, Timur taking the leap and sliding down the ice bridge. Kaldtorg lit up and another blast of icy power was unleashed and completely froze an enemy ship.
From the deck of his mighty war ship, Euron Greyjoy stood, certain of victory for himself. Until he saw one of his vessels become completely consumed by ice. He saw his men begin to crack before they splintered into a thousand pieces and the ship itself split in half. The rival Ironborn, those who served his niece, cheered at the sight while his men just stood there gobsmacked. That was when creatures they had never seen before, over eight-feet tall, blue skinned, red eyed, climbed into their boats. The first rebel Ironborn who attacked the Jotuns, was crushed brutally for his efforts. "Kill them all!" General Nadir commanded and his soldiers began to swarm over the ships.
"Stand your ground! Don't you dare run!" Euron shouted as he drew his weapon and jumped down onto the main deck. He spun around when he heard something coming up behind him. He of course came face to face with Timur. The polar bear growled and Helbindi slid from his back. Helbindi placed Kaldtorg on the ground and tilted his head, studying the Ironborn.
"Odd. I expected you to be bigger," Helbindi stated. Euron roared swung his sword. Timur stepped out of the way and Helbindi rolled to the side. Kaldtorg came up and blocked the sword and he rose to his feet, towering over Euron even as a runt. The Jotun king grinned down at the rebel Greyjoy. Helbindi shoved him back as two Ironborn came in. He easily ducked and dodged, taking hold of the pike that was shoved at him, and guiding it into the body of his second opponent. Helbindi then twirled under it and smacked the sailor holding it in the face with Kaldtorg, flattening him in an instant. Helbindi stabbed him with Kaldtorg, turning him into an ice sculpture. When he pulled the spear free, he shattered. With ease, he turned around and stopped Euron from slashing him in the back.
"What the f*ck are you?!" Euron queried.
"I'm a being that is far older than you and a better fighter," Helbindi retorted. He withdrew his spear and kicked Euron in the chest, sending him flying into the main mast, cracking the wood. Suddenly, the ship lurched and Helbindi glanced over his shoulder. Two Fire Giants had come crash landing onto the ship, fracturing the wood and setting it on fire. "You're bothering me," Helbindi commented as he pointed Kaldtorg at them. The tip lit up, but that was when a flaming whip wrapped around the spear. Kaldtorg was wrenched from Helbindi's hand and he found himself facing two more giants. "Finally! A challenge!" he declared. Helbindi did a spinning back flip and swung himself up onto the mast. Helbindi looked down and saw that Timur was still cornering Euron and snarling angrily at one of the Muspels. Helbindi glanced around and saw the other three were attempting to converge on him. Helbindi created a little dagger out of ice, grabbed a hold of a rope, and threw the dagger at the connecting line. It was severed and he went flying up to the crow's nest. Once he landed, Helbindi looked out towards the land, where the clouds were gathering. "That's it, Loki. Show them how powerful you really are."
