Hay, sobrang galing talaga ng baby ko.
"We've finalized the details of our new partnership with international investors, and the party will serve as the perfect platform to make the announcement."
Tumango si Breydon sa kanya, "How do you propose we unveil it to our guests?"
"I've been working closely with the PR team, and we've crafted a compelling presentation to showcase the benefits of the partnership. We'll kick off the evening with a brief introduction, followed by the announcement, and then we'll allow our guests to mingle and celebrate."
"Sounds like a solid plan." tumingin si Breydon sa papel na hawak niya, "Have you briefed the rest of the team?"
Nasa gilid lang ako at nag ta-take ng notes. We're here in the conference room, may meeting ulit si Breydon with the department head's.
"Yes, sir. The department heads are all aware of the agenda for the evening, and they're ready to assist in any way they can."
"Good work." tumingin si Breydon sa kanila, "Is there anything else I need to know?"
"Just one more thing, sir. I've arranged for a photographer to capture the highlights of the evening. We want to document this milestone in Dawnlens' history for posterity."
Breydon nodded his head, "Anything else?"
"That's all, sir."
"Alright. Meeting adjourned."
Ayan, tapos na ang meeting.
"Miss Andrea?"
Hala. Si Sir Dale. Lagot na.
"Sir." kaagad akong nagtago sa likod ni Breydon.
Ayoko pa. Hindi ko pa alam ang isasagot sa kanya.
"Have you considered the—"
"What a great time, Sir Dale. I need to discuss something with you."
Napatingin ako kay Breydon ng hilahin niya si Sir Dale palabas ng conference room.
Argh. So sweet naman ng baby ko. Nahulaan niya kaagad ang sitwasyon.
Pag-labas ko ng conference room, dumeretso kaagad ako sa elevator. Lunch time na, hihintayin ko na lang si Breydon sa parking area.
Pag-dating ko dito, kaagad akong pumasok sa loob ng sasakyan ni Breydon—
"What the heck are you doing?"
Napalingon ako sa likod dahil sa boses na 'yon.
"Why are you entering his car?"

"Dahil kakain kami sa labas?" pa-tanong kong sagot sa kanya. Binuksan ko na ang car door at—

Ano ba naman 'yan. Hindi na ako naka-pasok sa loob ng sasakyan.
"So bawal kami kumain sa labas? Ayon ba ang gusto mong iparating?" nonchalant kong sagot sa kanya.
