I'll start with the beginning,
Something I love to think about,
When you snorted Cheezits
In the middle of science class.
To this day,
I still don't understand why you did,
But it happened.
You never stopped talking to me after that,
Even though I thought I was a bore.
I was the girl you
Always asked for a pencil.
I was the girl you
Always wanted to be partnered with.
I sat right behind you
During second semester with
So many weird conversations
That made me laugh like an idiot.
I sometimes think of them,
And think of you,
And I smile.
You bought me two valetine's day grams,
A candy stick on each.
You spelled my last name right,
Which no one ever can.
I still have them,
Hidden deep in a desk drawer.
Your handwriting is horrible,
But the little hearts drawn on the back
Is what makes smile.
I asked you to the school dance,
And you said "absolutely!"
With a smiley face.
I laughed like an idiot that night too.
The way you danced with me,
The way you hugged me so tight,
The way you looked into my eyes,
Smiled,
And laughed as my friends watched
Like the jerks they are.
But I guess they were right...
You did like me.
A month later,
I knew I loved you.
We were dancing again,
But this time just you and me,
Until one of my friends showed up at the door.
I said, "I think she sees us..."
You said, "I don't care..."
And looked into my eyes,
Looked at me like there's something worth looking at,
Like I was actually something you loved.
That was when I knew we were the beginning of forever.
Another month later,
