The world has been
Unkind to me,
So I will show it
Nothing but kindness.
The world has made me
Cry many a tear,
So I will help
To bring the smiles.
The world has shown me
The darkest, worst parts of people,
So I will show the goodness and light.
I've always wanted to believe
That everything happens to you
For a reason.
But sometimes,
It feels like it's a punishment.
The world has been
Unkind to me,
And has sent me people
Who will always try to hurt me.
She tells me I'm not pretty,
That I'm a disgrace,
And worthless person.
She tries to hit on me,
Even when I say no.
She doesn't listen when I need it,
Even though I've always been there
For her.
He ignores me while saying he loves me,
Even though, to him,
I don't exist.
He doesn't love me,
Like he's supposed.
He tries to win me back,
But I just can't look him in the eye.
The world has been
Unkind to me,
But that has only made me stronger.
Sometimes I feel like I am weak,
But then I remember all I've been through,
And I smile,
Because look how far I've come.
But,
The world has also been
Kind to me.
The world has blessed me
With a wonderful,
Beautiful
Best friend
Who can always make me laugh.
The world has been
Kind to me
By giving me a sister
Who I love so much
And never lets me forget
That she loves me even more.
The world has been
Kind to me
By giving me a boy
Who still fights for me.
Maybe I'll go back to him,
I don't know.
The world is filled with unknowns.
The world will be unkind,
And kind.
Fair,
Poor,
And overrated.
But, you must always remember
That when you hit the bottom,
Or feel yourself sinking,
You know how to swim.
You've climbed mountains
And explored the dangerous waters.
You can fight.
And so,
You will.
