i walk into first period to see jacob sitting down next to my desk. i sit down next to him and put down my book bag next to my feet. i take out a pencil and copy down notes.
"hey." i whispered, getting his attention.
he looks up at me and gives me a little smile then goes back down to copy his notes. it's weird how he didn't say hello.
"how's you and joey?" he asked, with a sarcastic tone.
"what do you mean?" i asked.
he scoffed, "aren't you guys like dating? you're with each other all the time."
was our kiss just at the moment? or was it more to him. joey is different than a friend to me, i don't really know if i feel anything to him though.
"no, we're just really good friends." i said. and it's true, we are really good friends, i think.
"do friends put their hands on each other's thighs though?" he asked.
he was with zach that day when joey put his hand on my thigh. zach must have told jacob.
"no but-" he cut me off.
"then you're more than friends, anna. you can tell me." he says.
i look down, "we're not dating though."
"okay then." he said.
soon, the bell rings and i go to second period. i sit dow in my seat and surprisingly joey is in her before me.
he turns around to face me, "you got a pencil?" he asked.
i pulled a pencil out of my bag and gave it to him, "thanks." he said.
class goes on and luckily mr. skies isn't here today, it's a sub. so i can easily talk to joseph without getting caught.
"birlem." i whispered.
"hm?"
"why do people keep on asking me if we're dating?" i asked him.
he shrugs from behind, "i guess because we're so close." he said.
"zach and jacob asked me." i said.
"zach is annoying, don't be around him a lot, he's trouble." he says.
the sub looks our way, i pretend like i'm working and so does joey. she looks the other way and i continue our conversation.
"what about jacob?" i asked.
"he's not as bad." he said.
i nodded.
soon it's lunch time and i we get our food. my mom didn't pack my lunch so i have to eat the school lunch food.
as i'm waiting in line with joey and charles i feel hands go around my waist.
"hey babygirl." it's a familiar male voice, i look and see zach hovering over me.
"get off, zach." i demanded.
he puts his grip tighter on my waist. "you know you like me touching you." he whispers.
my heart picks up a paste as i try to get his hands off of me. joey turns around to see what's happening.
"zach. what the hell are you doing." joey asked.
"you guys aren't dating, why do you care?" he said, with a mocking tone.
i look at joey and then i look at zach. "zach just please let me go."
zach just smirked and tightened his grip even more.
"i think she said let her go." joey said getting closer to us.
"what you gonna do about it, jojo?" zach said.
i took my foot and kicked zach in the nuts. he holds his area and groans. "you bitch." he said to me.
joey looks at me and smirks, "thank you." he said right before he punches zach in the face.
joey got on top of zach and kept on punching him. it was going to the point where zach was crying and blood all over his face.
"joey that enough." i yelled.
people start to make a circle around us. i tried to pull joey back but he pushed me to the ground, i scraped my elbow.
"are you okay?" charles asked, helping me up.
i nodded, "yeah."
soon teachers came and got joey off of zach. they had to hold joey back so he wouldn't hurt zach anymore.
joey and i made eye contact, i could see the anger in his eyes.
they took joey and zach to the office to the point where i couldn't see both of them.
i look at my elbow, it was dripping blood. i wipe it off and look around to see the crowd with phones and recording.
"the show is over." charles said, taking my wrist and taking me away from everyone.
