part 62

valentine's day

joey said that he's surprising me with a big present at like 3am. luckily, i got my room back and mckenna and dylan are in mathews old room.

i drank some coffee to stay awake because the last thing i want is to fall asleep. i have my whole present ready for him. it's a whole book of how we came to be together.

it tells the story from when we first met to now, of course i would remember when we first met.

i've came to the point where i know now that i'm in love with him. there's no one in the world that i would want than him.

he's my happiness, he's my everything. i don't know what i would do without him.

knock knock

finally. i get up from my bed and go to the window to see joey there once again on the tree. i lost count how many times he came to this window.

he had a rose and a box of chocolates just like before. he looks at me and smiles from ear to ear. "happy valentine's day, cross." he says.

my heart flutters. "awe joey." i said.

"this isn't all. put on some sweatpants and come to my car." he says.

i nodded and did what he said. i climbed down the tree and went to his car. there, i got in and smiled at him.

he motions for me to look in the back, "look in the back." he says.

i look in the back and see a big bouquet of roses with a teddy bear and a card. i gasp and look at him. "why are you going all out?" i asked.

"because i love you." he says.

i feel like i'm going to cry as i get the card. i open up the card.

"my beloved anna,

my love for you is unconditionally hard to describe. every time i see that smile of yours i just melt inside and fall deeper in love with you even more. i have came to the fact that i want to spend the rest of my life with you, cross. even when we have our ups and downs i'll make sure that you will be mine forever, no matter what. these past 6 months have been the best months of my life. you are my light, my whole world, my cross. i love you anna, forever and always."

i looked up from the note with tears in my eyes,  "awe joey." i cried, "i don't know what to say. this isn't close to what i got you."

"well save it for when we go to our place." he says.

he laces his fingers with mine as we walk up the trail. joey our a blindfold over my eyes because he's just full of surprises.

the trail was familiar, as if i been here before.

"okay." joey whispers. "open."

i open my eyes to see trees with pink fairy lights on them. they had red and pink hearts around the light with pictures of joey and i on them.

(if you don't understand then just think of jacob sartorius' music video chapstick because it's like that)

there was a red blanket on the ground with rose petals on it. i covered my mouth and turned around to see joey on one knee.

i started crying again as he took out a box and held it up. he clears his throat. "so do you remember when i brought you here like a month ago?" he asked.

i nodded. "yeah."

"well when my dad was still around i would come up here with him and he told me to bring the girl i love up here one day." he says. "so that's what i did."

my heart was beating so fast. "now i'm not marrying you or anything because we're both 16. but i have-" he opened the box to see a big shiny ring. "i have this promise ring for you."

"joey." i whisper between my tears.

"so anna marie cross, will you make me the happiest man alive and promise to be with me forever?" he says.

i repeatedly shook my head, "yes joey yes! is that even a question?"

he smiles really big and takes my hand. he puts on the ring that fit perfectly. he comes close to me and looks at me in the eyes, "i love you, anna. no matter what, i love you with all my heart." he whispers.

"i love you too joey, to the moon and back." i said. "do you promise to be with me though, forever?"

"i promise." he said

i'm sad to say it, but the book is ending soon.
i have it all set out and let me tell you, i cried. i don't know what chapter it's gonna end on but it's coming to an end very soon.

thank you for all of the support on this book. i never knew one of my books would be this big and especially almost have 40k reads. it is absolutely mind blowing.

once this book ends, i'm putting more focus on my book "minds" since you guys like that book. i've been inactive on it and i know that it's annoying you guys since all of you are always begging me to update it.

i also dropped 4 chapters on my new book that just came out this morning. it's called "growing old" so you guys can check out that one.

i love you guys so much and thank you for everything you guys did for me. i can't believe i been on this app for 10 months and i already have so much support.

i worked my ass of and now it finally payed off. once again, i love you all so much.
