joey stayed the night and last night after his dad came. he hasn't been home since. my mom trusts me not to do anything with joey so he slept in my bed. even though we already did "it" like a month ago, i'm not gonna do anything.
it's the last day of school and it's also prom. it's so weird how the time went by so fast.
i open my eyes to see joey sleeping across from me. his eyes were shut and his jaw was slanted open a little bit, having soft snores coming out.
i caressed his cheek and ran my thumb against it. the sunrise beamed into my room, making his skin look even more perfect than what it was.
his eyes flutter making me smile. he sits up in bed and rubbed his eyes. "good morning beautiful." he says with a raspy voice. i sit up next to him and lay my head against his shoulder. "morning."
he ran his hands through his hair and looked down at me and smiled like a dork. i played with his hair and giggled, "your hair is so messy."
scoffing, he says, "have you seen yours? you look like chaka kahn!" he laughed, wrapping a strand of my hair around his finger.
"fair enough." i gave in.
he chuckled, "dork."
i took my head off his shoulder and nudged it, "shut up!" i giggled.
"dork!" he yelled before i put my hand around his mouth. "shh! sam is still sleeping!"
"and i-oop" he says, referring to the meme i showed him last night.
we both started to laugh silently since everyone else in the house sleeping. we should be getting ready now but we're in my bed laughing at some meme from last night.
"joey we got to get readyy." i said between my laughs, "its the last day and we're doing nothing."
he got out of bed and stretched, "don't forget prom." he says.
i gasped, "you don't have your tux's!" i said, "oh my god joey!"
he shrugs, "it's fine, at least you got the tickets." he said, "besides, i can wear some of mathews old fancy clothes."
"why can't you just go-" he cut me off.
"i'm not seeing him, anna." he says demandingly.
i put my hands up in defense "okay, okay." i said as i got out of bed. "but you kno-"
"i know." he says, not looking at me.
i went to my dresser and got my clothes so i could change into them once i got out of the shower.
"i'm just mad at him you know?" he asked, "like he leaves sophia and i and then decides to come back. 6 years is a really long time."
i look at him with pity, knowing that i can relate. "i know how you feel joey, but he's not gonna win custody so there's nothing to worry about. i mean, he can't—he just can't."
he comes up to me and looks at me in the eyes. smiling, he says, "how do you know what to say?" he chuckled, "god i love you."
"i love you too." in pecked his lips.

"last day of school!" jack yelled as we approached him on the side walk to the bus stop. "woah!"
i giggled and looked over at jacob. he has his ear buds in with his hood up. i smiled at him and he looked down. i sighed and looked back at jack.
"i can't wait to get out of this fucking hell hole man! i just have one more year left." jack says, "bro prom is going to be so lit!"
"are you going with anyone?" i asked jack.
he shook his head, "nah, that's what senior year is for." he says.
he bus came and we got on. we sat in our usual seats; joey sat in the seat with me. since jacob didn't sit with us, jack sat in jacobs spot.
this seat has a lot of memories with joey and i. too bad next year i'll be driving to school instead of taking the bus with joey. i wonder why i ride the bus when i clearly can drive now since i have my license.
senior year is gonna be the best year ever. i already know it.
