"what are you doing here?"i asked her. supposedly i'm getting all mad now, probably because this bitch hasn't called or texted me.
she smirked at me. i know that smirk; it's the same smirk lexi does. "oh hey anna. how are you?"
i give her that 'really bitch?' look. i don't answer her, i just study her face and try to figure out why in the world she would want to come here.
"anna." mom said, "say hi." my mom can tell what's wrong with me, i think. she's my mom; she knows me best.
"hi mckenna." i cleared my throat. "how's you and dylan." i asked.
she put her hand on her stomach and smiled, "we're doing good." she turned her head to the living room, "babe!"
he's here?
i look at joey and arch an eyebrow, all he does is shrug. soon before i know it, dylan comes in. he's really tall with blue eyes and brown hair.
he wraps his arms around mckennas waist, "hey baby." he looks at me, "anna? is that you? it's nice to see you." he had a very convincing surprised tone of voice.
note my sarcasm
mckenna looked at joey, "who's this?"
"this is joey, my boyfriend." i told her. don't mess with my man hoe.
she slowly shakes her head and smiles, "where's sarah and mathew? i would expect to hear them arguing or something by now." she says.
i look down, "you didn't know?" i asked her.
"no"
i look back up at her. "they went back to san francisco."

"what do you mean she's staying here for a week!?" i said, "mom, you can't just say someone is staying over at the house right after they show up."
"anna i-" i cut her off before she could say anything else.
"it's like telling someone they dropped a pencil when the pencil is laying on the ground. she can't just show up and you say, 'oh she's staying here.' that's not how it works mom!" i told her, frustrated.
"anna, she's your best friend! you can't just be rude like that." she said.
"was." i said.
confused, she asked, "what?"
"she was my best friend! jacob is my best friend now. she wasn't there for me. ever. jacob was." i said.
"you been knowing jacob for 6 months!" is that how long jacob and i been dating? almost a year?
"it's better than her!" i said, "not once did she text me. she didn't hit me up and say 'hey anna, hows school doing?' or 'how you holding up so far?' so why would i be nice when she didn't even bother to talk to her so called best friend?"
i got her speechless, "anna.."
i sigh, "just-" my breathing hitched. all
of a sudden, i felt pressure on my chest. my breathing was going slow and steady."mom get joey." i said.
"what?"
i sit down on the bed and lean my hands on my knees, "are you deaf? i said get joey."
mom runs out of the room, "joey!"
i feel like i'm drowning, as if air is being taken away. my heart picks up a paste as i try to get a hold of my breathing.
i can't control it. i start coughing. i grab onto the bed blanket and shut my eyes, hoping this is all a dream.
joey runs into the room. "what's wrong?" he asked. i can't speak. i point to my chest, asking for help.
"can you breath?" he asked.
i look down, please not now, please now now. i thought. i start rocking back and forth, coughing even more.
"anna! are you okay?" he says with caution, "can you breath?"
i look up at him and see the concern in his eyes as he try's to confer me.
"mrs cross?!" joey yells, he got the signal. "mrs. cross!"
mckenna and my mom comes into the room as my vision starts to get blurry.
"what's wrong?" mckenna asked. this bitch
joey looks at her, "call 911." he looks at me, "i got you baby, everything will be all right."
he puts his hand around me and picks me up bridal style while i continue coughing.
he carries me down the stairs into the living room, waiting for the paramedics.
soon the ambulance come.
that was quick
they come inside and put me in a stretcher. i never been rushed to the hospital like this before.
that's what everything went black
"baby!"
