lunch came and i was lonely when i walked in. i look around and look at the groups, trying to figure out who i should sit with."yo anna!" i look around to see who called my name. i found who was calling my name because they were waving to me, it was jacob.
i smile and wave back as i walk towards his direction. i sit across him in the seat since there was people sitting next to him.
"what's up?" he asked.
i shrug and replayed in my head when i walked away from joey. "nothing much. you?"
he smiles, "same." he looks at the two guys beside him. "oh, shoot." he laughed.
he looked at the boy next to him on his right, he was bald with blue eyes. he looked at me then back at him. "this is zach." and he looked at the other guy. "this is jeremy." (i named him after jeremy from missing.)
i smiled at both of them. "nice to meet you both, i'm anna." they smiled back.
zach leaned on his hand and rested his hand against his chin. "where you from?" zach asked.
"i'm from san francisco." i said, answering his question.
jeremy snapped his fingers like he realized something. "you're in mrs. smith's class right? first period?"
i nod. "yeah."
"i knew you looked familiar." he chuckled. "but damn girl, that's a long way. all the way over here to the big apple, how come?"
i use my normal excuse everytime when someone asks that stupid question. "we just wanted to start fresh."
jacob looked at me, i could tell he knew i wasn't telling the truth. i'll tell him sometime what happened, just not now.
i look around the cafeteria. i see joey with some blond haired guy, he looks very ugly. joey and i make eye contact, but i mediately look back away.
"what's your number?" asked zach. i pull out my phone. "it's xxx-xxx-xxxx." i said.
he smiled as he put it in. he texted my number just to make sure that it's the right number. "yo." he texted.
i giggled at what he texted. "did you just text me yo?" i asked.
he nodded and rubbed his bald head. i look at his head. "where you always bald?"
he laughed. "nah."
jeremy nudged his shoulder. "pineapple head looking ass." he laughed.
"shut up!" he laughed as well. "at least i didn't make out with lexi while she's dating joey."
i frown, they're dating?
jeremy scoffed. "she's not dating joey. she's just saying that because he slept with her and took her virginity."
well damn
"he didn't even know her name." i laughed at what happened today after second period.
jacob looked at me and smirked, "what's your name again?" he jokes.
i slapped his shoulder from across the table. "shut the hell up, douchebag."
jacob laughed. i felt a breeze go past me as someone walked, i realized that it was joey. we made eye contact again, i look away again also.
finally the bell rang.
"later dumbasses." i say as i get up from the table.
"bye." jeremy said as we walked opposite ways.
"i'll text you!" zach said.
"alight bet!" i said as i walked away and wen to my next class.

i swing my bag over my arm as i walk out of the school. finally, it's the end of the day.
i find my bus and get on it. i go up the stairs and go through the isle and sit down. i put my book bag on my lap and listen to my music on my phone.
the seat lower a little bit as it feels like someone sits in it. i look from the window and to who sat down next to me, luckily it's not joey.
"what's up?" he asked as he put his bag in front of him and pulled out his phone.
i paused my music and took out a ear bud. "the sky, duh."
he laughed at my joke. "so joey and zach got your number. am i your friend or what?"
i laughed. "i'll give you my number, too." i said.
he smiled and he hit "add contact" to his phone. i gave him my number and he took a picture of me as his profile pic for my contact.
"that's disgusting, jacob!" i said as i looked at the picture, kind of loudly.
"shhhh!" he laughs, "what do you mean? you look good in it."
"bullshit." i take his phone and delete the picture, but the give it back to him. "take it again."
he playfully rolled his eyes and took it again. "is this okay?" he asked showing me the picture. i look at it and nodded my head in approval.
the bus stops at our bus stop. i realized that joey wasn't on the bus, oh well.
i love how i know him for like 3 days and i already don't like him, love that for me.
i walk home with jacob. he lives the next development over so i walked by myself half the way home.
