It was Monday again, and she'd been able to avoid Chisaki all weekend. He'd made sure to remind her about her duties that evening before he left for work. Y/N had numbly nodded. He acted like nothing had happened. She'd made up her mind over the weekend, as she spent more time with Uraraka, Kaminari and Midoriya, that she needed to leave and get away from Chisaki as soon as possible.

They'd spent some time studying together after work. Shouto had even joined them for a few hours, but would always have to leave in a hurry because of last minute ordeals. Still, he didn't look at her like she was death upon the world anymore—she'd been upgraded to the bubonic plague.

As she picked out a few books from a shelf in a a bookstore near the psychiatric hospital, she couldn't help but wonder what she was going to do to finally leave Chisaki. With the money she'd received for doing all his dirty work, and the wages from One For All she could probably manage to get a small apartment outside of Musutafu, maybe even farther out in the outskirts of Tokyo.

Still, it probably wasn't the best time for her to start making a move, not after what happened on Thursday. Her bruises has subsided, but she still had to wear a thin layer of foundation and long sleeves.

She'd have to wear her nurse uniform over her long sleeved shirt. Sighing, she grabbed a couple of books and added them to her basket. She even threw in a small journal with a clasp on the side and a pair of colorful pens.

She didn't hesitate to pay with the bank card she'd been given. She wondered where all the money came from, but as soon as the thought crossed her mind she shook it off. It was better for her not to know.

As she walked a few blocks out the corner store, she was stopped by the sight of a sign outside a restaurant. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the black card and walked in.

...

Rei was back to staring outside the window once again. Her hair was cascading down and she looked like she hadn't changed once since Y/N had left her on Wednesday. Besides that, the list on the door was the same one from Wednesday. Had they not had time to change it?

"Hi, Rei." Y/N tried to smile as she sat down the shopping bags on to the foldable table. The plates from last time were still there, along with some half eaten hospital food trays. She needed to do a lot of cleaning again—at least it would keep her mind busy.

"How was your weekend?" Y/N tried, but received no answer from the silver haired woman. Y/N took her time clearing the table, the bed, and picking up any other scattered trash.

Even though Y/N still had lingering feelings of fear and—dare she call it—jealousy, from the week before. Even the choking feeling of regret as she'd gone and acted carelessly without thinking still dwindled deep inside of her. Still, for some reason Y/N couldn't help but think of Rei. She was just like Y/N—a caged bird with no escape.

"Why don't we get you cleaned up and then have something good to eat?" Y/N suggested as she gathered some shower towels, but Rei didn't show any signs that she'd heard Y/N.

Y/N took a closer look at Rei and she realized she looked like she hadn't bathed in days or even slept. She was wearing the exact same clothes Y/N had seen her with last Wednesday.

"Mrs. Rei," she spoke softly. "When was the last time you changed your clothes?"

But Rei kept her gaze towards the horizon, blinking ever so often. Her eyes were shadowed by dark bags and her lips were dry. Like she hand had anything to drink in a long time. Y/N couldn't help but wonder when was the last time she'd eaten. She was slowly killing herself, and it scared Y/N to the core, because for a second, she saw herself in Rei's shoes and it hit really close to home.
