Uraraka pulled up two hours later in an old beat up Suburban. Y/N had taken a taxi with the little cash she had left to meet Uraraka half way. There was no way she could've asked her to drive four hours.

At first, Y/N had been hesitant about calling her since she'd recently gained the head injury, but Uraraka had messaged her earlier in the day telling her that she felt like never before, so Y/N took her chances.

After all, it was either Uraraka or Shouto, and she was still a bit upset with him, even after Rei's advice. That, and Shouto would probably grind her harder than Uraraka about being out so late at night.

Y/N waved at Uraraka when she turned her hazard lights on at the side of a corner store. Y/N had ended up in the middle a shopping district, in a city about an hour or two from Tokyo. She honestly wasn't too sure. She'd simply picked at spot in between the two cities and asked Uraraka to meet her there and the Taxi driver to drive her there.

"You are insane," Uraraka greeted as Y/N hopped into the passenger seat, instantly warmed by the vehicle's heater. "How does someone even get lost from falling asleep on the bus?"

Y/N watched her pull out off the curve. "The driver didn't notice me until it was too late," she lied. "I ended up here."

Uraraka sighed, glancing at her. "You're lucky my parents went on a business trip for their construction company and left the family car behind."

Y/N gave her a sheepish smile. "I'll treat you to dinner this week. You're saving my life." She clicked her seatbelt into place. "What did they say about what happened on Saturday?"

Uraraka smirked as she pulled up to a red light. "You better." Then, she sighed. "I didn't tell them truth. I lied and said I fell a flight of stairs. I can't have them worrying. They have a lot going on right now." She turned to Y/N. "What did you tell your dad?"

Y/N tried not cringe. "I lied too. Told him it was a 'friendly' fight. He was on the way to a business trip when I told him though, so I think he chose to believe me rather than missing his flight."

"I guess we don't like worrying our parents," she narrowed her eyes at her. "And that's why I'm picking you up at some random town two hours away after you fell asleep on the bus."

"Thanks, Ochaco." Y/N hinted at a smile.

"Sure, sure." Uraraka glanced down at her phone for a second, and scrunched her eyebrows. "Okay, so, explain to me why I have two missed calls from Todoroki and two messages asking me if I've seen you?"

"Shit," Y/N cursed, completely forgetting she hadn't checked her phone all day since she'd left it at home. "I forgot."

"Forgot?" Uraraka raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"...forgot to text him back?" Y/N tried, but Uraraka narrowed her eyes at her in suspicion. Y/N sighed in defeat. "I forgot my phone at home, that's why I had to call you from a phone booth."

"That doesn't clear up why he's calling me," Uraraka pointed out. "He only ever does when he wants to ask about you."

"Well..."

"Y/N..."

"Uraraka..."

"Look, he's calling again." Uraraka pointed down at her phone, without taking her eyes off the road. "I can answer and tell him you got lost—"

"—no, don't!" Y/N yelled without thinking.

"—or you can tell me everything that's going on between the two of you." she concluded, a twinkle in her eye.
