This takes place after 3x11. Following Jonah's panic attack, Cyrus comes to an important realisation about their relationship.

"I wish you could always be there for them"

"I never knew how much I needed a friend like you"

Those words had played on Cyrus' mind, feeling something that he thought had been forgotten. Even though he had come out to Jonah, he now knew that there was more that he needed to say.

Sure he had had eyes for TJ for a while, and he believed that he truly was over Jonah. The genuine look that Jonah had given him post panic attack had awoken old feelings, but they were even stronger this time. He believed that even though he was fond of TJ, it just wasn't to the same level as his rediscovered feelings for Jonah. He decided that he had to tell his friend how he felt, even if it was not going to be reciprocated.

Jonah on the other hand was really proud of Cyrus for coming out. It meant so much to him that his friend trusted him, and he hoped that would lead to them becoming closer. He was no longer with Libby, but he was okay with that. As his past relationships had always ended badly, he figured that a break would be good.

*Text conversation*

Cy-guy:

Hey Jonah, can we meet up at the Spoon?

Jo Lamajama: Sure thing Cyrus, what time?

Cy-guy: Are you free now?

Jo Lamajama: Yep, I'll go there now

Cy-guy: Cool, I'll see you at the Spoon

Jo Lamajama: Docious Magocious

*End of text conversation

Cyrus smiled, and ran out of his front door in order to get to the spoon as quickly as he could. When he arrived, he saw that Jonah was already there, sitting in one of the booths.

Jonah's face lit up when he saw Cyrus, and it was as if nothing around them mattered. Without a moment's hesitation, Jonah spoke up and waved.

Jonah: Hey Cy-Guy! Over here!

Cyrus: Hey Jo Lamajama

Cyrus joined Jonah in the booth, and suddenly became very nervous. He got cold feet about talking through his feelings, but at the same time, he knew that if he didn't say anything now, he would never be able to.

Jonah: So, what's going on bro?

Cyrus: I um... need to tell you something.

Jonah: What is it?

Taking a deep breath, Cyrus looked Jonah straight in the eyes, and started talking, trying to keep his composure.

Cyrus: You know how, at my grandmother's shiva, I told you I was gay?

Jonah: Yes, and as I said, that's cool.

Cyrus: I have something to add to that.

Jonah: I think I know what it is.

Cyrus was confused, how could Jonah know what he was going to say? He had always believed that Jonah was oblivious, and so he doubted his friend's ability to make an accurate conclusion.

Cyrus: You do?

Jonah: Yes, you are dating TJ, aren't you?

Upon hearing that, Cyrus felt a slight warmth in his heart. He had to admit, maybe he was wrong... Jonah had noticed the way TJ and Cyrus looked at each other, and seemed to be okay with the idea of them being together, but the problem with that is that Cyrus didn't want to go out with TJ, he wanted Jonah.

Cyrus: Actually, as much as I really like him, I like someone else.

Jonah was intrigued to find out more. He was really pleased that Cyrus felt comfortable confiding in him, and he would be lying if he said that he didn't like that about his and Cyrus' friendship.

Jonah: Who is it?

Cyrus: Um...

Jonah became concerned about Cyrus' unease speaking. He didn't want his best bud to feel like he had to hide anything anymore.

Jonah: Come on bro, you can tell me. I'm sure they'll be so flattered that you like them.

Cyrus: Well, the thing is... it's you Jonah.

Cyrus automatically put his hands over his mouth, completely shocked that he had finally said it. He then ran out of the Spoon but hadn't been able to get very far. Jonah quickly caught up to him and grabbed his arm.

Jonah: Hey, talk to me dude.

Cyrus: But aren't you weirded out? I mean, you don't like me do you?

Jonah decided that enough was enough. He put his hands on Cyrus' cheeks, and pulled him in for a long kiss. It set fireworks of for both and Jonah knew he now had some explaining to do.

Jonah: I wish you had told me sooner. I've liked you for the longest time, Cyrus.

Cyrus: Y-you have?

Jonah: Yes.... W-when I first met you I realised that I liked you. And when you were there for me during my panic attack, I knew that I loved you.

Cyrus: So I have a chance?

Jonah: Of course you do, as long as I have a chance with you.

Cyrus: You do.

Jonah: Cool, so do you want to be my boyfriend?

Cyrus: Really?

Jonah: Y-yes

Cyrus smiled as he saw Jonah blushing, and he liked the stuttering too, he thought it was adorable.

Cyrus: I'd love that!

Jonah: Thank you. Can I walk you home?

Cyrus: Sure!

As they walked home, Jonah felt that they should hold hands. Walking closely to each other, and smiling, Cyrus realised that telling Jonah how he felt really was the best thing he had ever done.

So this was the first part of the book, I hope you enjoyed it.

I'll be updating with a new chapter soon.
