Jyrus Oneshots - Part I (COMPLETED)

Hanging Out

This is the first Jasher oneshot.

Asher asks Joshua to come over to his house for a sleepover. After doing a live stream, they start finding out things about one another.

So Asher and Joshua had finished their day of filming the latest episode of Andi Mack. It had been great and they were pleased with the results. Siting in the diner, they discussed their plans for the evening.

Asher: So, what's going on with you tonight Josh?

Joshua: I'm not sure just yet. I'll probably update my Twitter and Instagram but I don't have anything else planned.

Asher: Why don't you come over to my house? We could have a sleepover.

Joshua: Really?

Asher: Why not?

Joshua: Count me in!

Asher smiled, as it had been a while since he had spent time with Joshua. They had instantly become friends upon meeting each other at auditions.

Joshua was looking forward to hanging out with Asher too. Seeing as their characters had been hanging out a lot on the show, he thought it was only right that they hang out for real.

*Time skip to that evening*

Joshua arrived at Asher's house quite promptly. When Asher greeted him, they both smiled and shared a bro-hug.

Asher: Josh, you're here!

Joshua: Yes Ash, I'm just excited to hang out with you again.

Asher: I'll set the camera up, let's do a live stream!

Joshua: Sounds good to me.

Asher didn't waste much time and had all of the equipment set up ready for them. They waited a few minutes before starting

Asher: What do you think we'll get asked in the live?

Joshua: Beats me, we'll have to wait I guess.

They started the live stream and Asher greeted their fans.

Asher: Hey guys! Asher here again and I'm with my bro Joshua Rush, whose also my biggest fan, don't you know.

Joshua: Yeah you wish! *playfully nudges Asher*.

Asher: Okay here is the first question we've been sent.

"What do you guys make of Jyrus?"

Joshua: That's an excellent question, that I get asked way to often!

Asher: Haha, we get asked that so much.

Joshua: I think Jyrus was cute, but I ship Tyrus now.

Asher: What?! *pretending to be offended* I thought we were meant to be together!

They both laughed at the dramatic way Asher answered Josh.

Asher: My answer is that I've always shipped Jyrus, they have great Chemistry!

Joshua: Great way to raise awareness of your song!

Asher: You know me dude!

Joshua: What's the next question.

"Do you hang out a lot?"

Asher: We don't get to hang out often outside the set.

Joshua: But we try and hang out where we can.

The live stream went on for an hour, and it had been a really good one with lots of fans speaking to Joshua and Asher. When it finished, Joshua couldn't help but wonder if Asher had been serious about Jyrus.

Joshua: Um Ash, do you honestly ship Jyrus still?

Asher: Yes of course.

Joshua: Does it make you mad that I don''t ship it?

Asher: It does a little bit, yes.

Joshua: But why?

Asher: Well, I always thought it was adorable and we made it cute.

Joshua: In all honesty, when we found out Cyrus had a crush on Jonah, I was really happy.

Asher: Really?

Joshua: Yes, as it meant we would get to film more scenes together.

Asher: I was happy too, and it was a shame that it didn't really go anywhere.

Joshua: I think it may have been for the best.

Asher didn't know whether to be confused or upset at what Joshua was saying. But he wanted to know why Joshua felt this way.

Asher: Why do you believe that?

Joshua: Mainly because it would make it weirder for me to do this.

Before Asher could say anything, Joshua closed the gap between them and connected their lips. He had always wanted to do this, but was worried that it would change everything. He would've been upset, if it wasn't for the fact that Asher was kissing back.

Asher: You mean-.

Joshua: I really wanted to go out with you Asher, but becoming close on screen would have been as if I was getting it rubbed in my face.

Asher: I don't understand.

Joshua: If Jonah and Cyrus dated, I would be getting to know what it would be like to be in a relationship with you, knowing that I would not be able to get it for real.

Asher couldn't believe that Joshua really felt this way. He had secretly loved his friend ever since they met, but he was also convinced it would never happen.

Asher: Do you want to go out, for real?

Joshua: Yes dummy, I'd like that.

Asher laughed, and put his arm around Joshua lovingly. It was like no situation they had ever experienced, but it was a feeling they enjoyed.

Asher: If we can't give them Jyrus, we can give them Jasher!

Joshua: That has a nice ring to it.

It had all worked out in the end. There would be no more lying to one another or denying their feelings. They knew the world would be happy, and deep down they were overjoyed to know that they could be as close as they wanted to be.

It felt different writing Jasher instead of Jyrus, but it was certainly interesting.
