Truth or Dare - Part 1

This chapter takes place after 3x08, although in this Marty has already returned. During a game of Truth or Dare, feelings are revealed and Cyrus has a decision to make.

Cyrus' POV

So Buffy had persuaded me to go to a sleepover at Jonah's house. Andi, Marty and TJ were also going to be there. As much as I love my friends, there are times when I wish we didn't have to do sleepovers.

When I arrived at Jonah's house, I was greeted by the human sunbeam himself.

Jonah: Cy-guy, you made it!

Me: Hi Jonah, are the other's here yet?

Jonah: Yeah, they are upstairs in my bedroom.

Me: Cool

I followed Jonah as he walked up to his room. When we entered, I was surprised at how large his room was. I looked to see the others sitting on the floor in a circle, so Jonah and I joined them. I looked at TJ, and was happy to see him.

TJ: Yo underdog.

Me: Hi not so scary basketball guy.

Before we could say anything else, the rest of the group wanted to get on with the evening. I admit it was slightly disappointing that I couldn't continue the conversation.

Buffy: So, what are we going to do?

Andi: Why don't we play truth or dare?

Jonah: That's a great idea.

Marty: Let's get started. Buffy, truth or dare?

Buffy: Dare.

Marty: I dare you to kiss me.

We had all been waiting for this moment for quite  a while. I was aware that Buffy really liked Marty, as much as she would deny it, but we could all see through that.

Buffy: Hmm.

Andi: Oh stop stalling Buffy, we all know that you want this.

Marty: Look, you don't have--

Before Marty could finish, Buffy leaned in and kissed him. We all cheered as we knew they both enjoyed it.

Marty: Wow, that was great!

Buffy: It was wasn't it?

After seeing that, I was intrigued to know what my truth or dare was going to be.

Jonah POV

I was happy that I had invited all of my friends over, but I had noticed something. Cyrus and TJ were looking at each other with major heart eyes. I didn't have time to think much about it as it was now my turn.

Buffy: Jonah truth or dare?

Me: Dare.

Buffy: I dare you to tell the person you love that you love them.

Now I know what you're thinking. This was going to be fairly easy, I would tell Andi I loved her, right? Well I suddenly found myself feeling something new. I had been feeling like a third wheel, and then it hit me. I was jealous, of TJ.

Me: Do I... have to?

Buffy: Yes, it's a dare.

TJ: No backing out now.

Me: Can I please wait until after the next person's turn before I say?

Cyrus: But why?

Me: Because there is something I need to know first.

Andi: I guess we could allow that, but only once.

Me: Docious.

I knew that it was a long shot, but this was something I knew that I just had to do. It was now or never and even though the feelings were new, I wanted some clarification before I went through with my dare.

Me: So Cyrus, truth or dare?

Cyrus: Truth

I was dreading having to ask this question, because I was certain of the answer and also I believed everyone would hate me for asking it.

Me: Are you in love with TJ?

My heart was pounding really loudly, and I knew everyone was staring at me as if I was some sort of idiot. But I just  had to know the answer.

Cyrus POV

My hands were becoming increasingly sweaty. I had never been asked that question before and I was not sure of the answer, but I tried my best to be accurate.

Me: Um... I'm not sure.

I noticed that TJ looked a little disappointed, but Jonah was confused more than anything. I was feeling like I had made the situation worse.

Jonah: Really?

Me: Yes really Jonah.

Jonah: Okay. I guess I'll do my dare now.

Me: What do you mean?

Jonah: Well, the thing is, I lo-love you Cy-Cyrus.
