Not Oblivious - Part 3

Cyrus and Jonah go on their first official date.

Cyrus and Jonah were both getting ready for their first date. It was a big moment for Jonah as he'd never dated a guy before, but an even bigger moment for Cyrus as it was his first date of any kind.

They were going to meet up at a cinema and watch a movie. Jonah was the first to arrive, and he was really nervous. He was concerned that Cyrus may lose his nerve and back out of the date, which would break Jonah's heart.

He didn't need to worry, as Cyrus turned up a few minutes later. He flung his arms around Jonah, who relaxed in his grip.

Jonah: Hey dude.

Cyrus: Hi you, are you excited for the movie?

Jonah: I'm really looking forward to it.

Cyrus: Me too!

They walked into the cinema hand in hand, and everyone who saw them observed their closeness by saying "aww!". As they reached their seats at the movie, Cyrus realised that there may be a problem. He became very tense.

Jonah had noticed how Cyrus had changed moods, and was quick to find out what was on his boyfriend's mind.

Jonah: What's wrong Cy?

Cyrus: Oh, it's nothing Jo.

Jonah: Come on, I know you're lying.

Cyrus: It's a bit embarrassing.

Jonah: Don't be worried about anything, you can tell me.

Cyrus: Well, this is a horror movie isn't it?

Jonah: Yes, why is that a problem?

Cyrus: It's just, I get easily scared.

Jonah looked at Cyrus with a soft smile, he felt a bit bad for bringing Cyrus to the movie, so came up with a compromise.

Jonah: How about I cuddle you for the duration of this movie, and you can snuggle with me in all of the parts which scare you?

Cyrus gazed at Jonah for a few seconds, because he liked doing that. The fact that his boyfriend was so caring made him happy.

Cyrus: Yay! That sounds good to me.

With a beaming smile on his face, Cyrus leaned into Jonah. Jonah made him feel loved, which meant all worry went away from him.

Jonah: I can't believe how adorable you are right now.

Cyrus: And you are big and strong, nothing can harm me when I'm with you.

The boys giggled merrily as they watched the film. After the movie finished, Jonah grabbed Cyrus' hand and dragged him out of the cinema. Moving to a secluded area, Jonah knew what he wanted to do.

Jonah: I love you Cyrus.

Cyrus: I love you Jonah.

Jonah: So much, I'll do this.

Cyrus: What?

Jonah gently rested his hands on Cyrus' face, and kissed his boyfriend lovingly. It was slow, but passionate and lit a fire in both of their hearts.

Andi and Buffy had been watching another movie and bumped into the boys as they walked past.

Andi: Oh, are you two having fun?

Jonah: Well duh! *chuckles*.

Cyrus: So much fun.

Buffy: Why don't you come back to my place, we can have a sleepover?

Cyrus: I'm in!

Jonah: I think you'll find we're out!

The gang laughed, and they all walked back to Buffy's house. It was a peaceful walk which kept everyone's minds clear. On the way, Jonah thought about what happened in the movie.

Jonah: You know, you didn't get very scared during the film.

Cyrus: Well, I had my boyfriend so I was fine.

Jonah: You just wanted an excuse to hug me, didn't you?

Cyrus: Obviously silly!

Jonah: Aren't you crafty?

Cyrus: You wouldn't have me any other way!

At Buffy's house, the gang sat down on the floor in a circle and discussed the day.

Andi: So, I see you two are really happy.

Jonah: Cyrus is amazingly cute.

Cyrus: And Jonah is just awesome in every way.

Buffy: I hope that I can find someone who loves me the same way you two love one another.

Andi: I'm sure you will, and so will I.

Jonah: Of course, there are plenty more fish in the sea, as they say.

Cyrus: You never cease to surprise me with your wisdom.

Jonah: I'm so wise aren't I?

Cyrus: You're dating me, so yes, very wise.

Andi: Is that a bit of arrogance I hear? *giggles*.

Cyrus: I do have a dark side, you know.

Jonah: No you don't, you're lovely.

The boys looked deeply into each others' eyes and were really smitten. The girls had given up talking by this point, the boys were just too adorable together.
