I Have Your Heart - Part 3

Jonah is left conflicted after he forgave Cyrus, and he doesn't know whether or not to follow his heart.

It wasn't that Jonah was angry as much. He was finding it difficult to look at Cyrus, but he had seen the raw emotion of the other boy, and wasn't able to easily remain mad at him.

The girls were still sceptical about Cyrus. After all, he had shown them that he wasn't always the kind person he portrayed.

Buffy and Andi were at The Spoon having milkshakes when Jonah joined them. He looked more puzzled than ever.

Jonah: Hey girls.

Andi: What's up?

Jonah: I don't know what I should do.

Buffy: About what?

Jonah: Cyrus.

They looked at each other before returning their eyes to Jonah. It was clear that he was anxious, but they let him continue.

Andi: What has he done now?

Jonah: He hasn't done anything else. I just... I wish he told me how he felt earlier. I could be hear snuggling with him instead of having to feel awkward when I see him.

Buffy: But he didn't treat us well.

Jonah: I know, but he has learned his lesson. We've given him space, now I want him back.

Andi: Are you sure that's such a good idea?

Jonah: Yes, he's the only one who can ever calm me down when I panic.

Buffy: We can do that too, you know.

Jonah: I'm sure, but he has won my heart.

There was a sigh of sorrow from Jonah as he thought about the difficult situation he and his friends were in. Looking around, he spotted Cyrus.

Jonah: I'm going to go talk to him. Let him join us.

Buffy: Fine, but if he hurts any of us---

Jonah: He won't. I know he won't.

Andi: Fine, but it's your problem if it goes wrong.

Cyrus looked over to see his friends, and even though he smiled at first, he remembered the situation. Jonah walked steadily to where he was.

Cyrus: J-Jonah...

Jonah: Cyrus, will you join us?

Cyrus: I... Sure!

Jonah: Come on then!

Cyrus was still worried about how the girls would treat him. He deserved it for how he treated them, after all. He sat down next to Jonah and opposite the girls.

Cyrus: Um... hi.

Andi: Hi Cyrus.

Buffy: Hello.

Jonah: I don't want any of this tension anymore.

Andi: I wish it was that easy Jonah.

Buffy: But he hurt all of us, we can't just pretend nothing happened.

Cyrus: They're right, this wasn't a good idea... I-I'll just leave you alone.

Jonah: No you won't!

Cyrus was not able to move because Jonah had a firm grip on his arm. He relaxed from the touch of Jonah's hand, but the tense atmosphere was strong.

Cyrus: I can't stay... I made the biggest mistake, I deserve to be miserable.

Jonah: I can't let that happen.

Cyrus: You need to.

Jonah: Stop it dude. I'm not angry anymore.

Cyrus: I don't think Andi and Buffy feel the same way.

Jonah looked at the girls with a look, one that was pleading for them to say something nice.

Andi: If you're really sorry---

Cyrus: I am-- I can't believe what I did, please I beg you, can we be friends again?

Buffy: Okay, we'll give you a second chance, but I would like to point out that we were telling the truth, so we will only ever be honest, understand?

Cyrus didn't respond, instead he walked around and hugged the two girls, and for the first time in ages, the tension had disappeared.

Cyrus: Thank you so much, I don't know how I could cope without you all.

Jonah: Now that that's sorted... let's talk about you and me.

Cyrus: What about you and me?

Jonah: Well, you have my heart.

Cyrus: I-- I do?

Jonah: Cyrus, I love you. Despite everything, I never stopped. When you didn't believe me, I felt pain worse than anything.

Cyrus: I can't tell you how much I hate myself Jonah.

Jonah: Listen, if you really like me, I guess I can confirm that I am absolutely in love with you.

Cyrus slowly smiled, and felt his breath being taken away. His face went completely red, and that was enough for Jonah to know.

Jonah: Cyrus Goodman, will you go out with me?

Cyrus: Yes Jonah Beck, nothing would make me happier.

Jonah put an arm around Cyrus, who leaned into his grip. Andi and Buffy were now happy too, as they saw that the boys were so happy. Without warning, Jonah leaned down and kissed Cyrus on the forehead.

Jonah: I just love you so much, never leave me.

Cyrus: I promise I won't, I love you far too much to do anything like that.

This prompted Jonah to kiss Cyrus directly on the lips this time. All ill feeling was gone, and everyone went back to being themselves.

I couldn't help but write a cheesy ending to this.
