Random Roses - Part 1

So this is my attempt at a Valentine's Day chapter (late I know, but still).

Cyrus keeps finding roses wherever he goes. However, he needs help from his friends to work out who his secret admirer is. Told from a single POV

Cyrus POV

So it was that day... Valentine's day, also known as the day that I dreaded most. It was a celebration of love, but no one ever showed me anything.

School was always manic, and most people would receive cards and gifts. I wish I could have that, but for now I just accepted that I would have to wait.

When I got to school, the first thing I did was go to my locker. However, when I opened it, there was a rose, with a not attached.

"Do you want to be my valentine?"

I was really blushing, but I had no idea who it could be from. No guy, or girl, had ever shown interest in me. I concluded that this must be some sort of a prank.

I got my books and walked to science class. I was with Buffy for this period, so I decided to try and ask her.

Me: I got a rose this morning.

Buffy: Ooh, someone has a secret admirer.

Me: But who?

Buffy: It's probably the person you least suspect!

Me: How cliche! *rolls eyes*. There was a note.

Buffy: Can I see it?

Me: Sure.

I gave Buffy the note and as she read it, she looked just as confused as me. This was so confusing, but I was interested to find the culprit.

Buffy: I wish I knew, but this is really generic.

Me: Tell me about it.

Just before I left class, I noticed that a rose had been put in my bag. I was feeling even more puzzled when I read the note.

"On this day, I want you to be mine"

These messages were sweet, but I wasn't going to allow myself to believe that they were serious. I left class and tried to focus.

*Time skip to lunch*

So I walked over to Buffy and Andi. This situation had been taking up most of my thoughts. So much so that when I got lunch, I didn't notice a rose appear next to my plate, on a napkin and again with a note.

"Can't you tell how much I love you?"

Andi saw my face and she decided to get my attention.

Andi: Buffy told me about the roses.

Me: Whoever is doing this has to be pranking me.

Andi: I don't believe that, they are obviously putting a lot of effort into this.

Buffy: It's sweet, and stop believing it wouldn't happen for real. They do love you.

Buffy's words gave me some confidence, but I was still in doubt. There was yet another rose with my name on it and a note. This time, it was delivered by Gus.

Gus: This is for you.

Me: Are you behind this?

Gus: No, it's from your secret admirer.

Me: Okay *sighs*.

The note was even more heartfelt than the others, and I hoped that I could find out who was leaving them for me.

"I will never stop loving you Cyrus"

I put the note in my pocket, where I had put the others, and walked to my next class. There I met TJ, and he looked very happy about something.

Me: Hey!

TJ: Muffin, how are you?

Me: I'm okay, although I'm getting a bit confused. Someone is giving me roses with notes attached.

TJ: Ah, so I assume you won't want this.

Me: Oh great, yet another one!

TJ handed me another rose. This was getting ridiculous, but I was impressed by whoever was doing this. They were really going all out for me.

TJ: Before you ask, this is not from me.

Me: It isn't?

TJ: No, but don't worry, I'm sure you'll work it out soon enough.

He left me alone with the rose and the note. It now looked as if the secret admirer was getting a little desperate for my attention.

"Oh Cyrus, please give me your heart"

I had to leave and go to a secluded area, because I was getting choked up. It was beginning to make sense, but I still didn't know who it was.

I was sat under a tree, and the shade was pleasant. I was brought back to reality by something falling on my head. And yes, you guessed it, in front of me was another rose and note.

"Understand me, you are my everything"

This was now annoying me. I desperately wanted to find out who was doing this, and the only way that would happen at this point was for a miracle.

*Time skip to end of school*

I was walking out of school when I saw a rose on a bench, which we be the final one I would find. I read the note.

"So now you have all of the roses, what do you say? Do you love me?"

I spotted Andi and Buffy and now that I had everything, I knew this was when together,  we would work out who was behind it all.

Me: Hey girls.

Buffy: Hey.

Andi: Have you worked out who it is yet?

Me: No, but I have had a total of seven roses along with notes. Let's go to Andi's and try and fit everything together.

We walked really quickly to Andi's house. I was surprised how interested the girls were in this situation. We didn't talk until we sat down in her bedroom. I spread the notes out in order, and we tried to think.

Buffy: Wait a minute! I've got it!

Me: What?!

Buffy: It's all in front of you.

Me: Tell me then.

Buffy: Okay, so...

So, a bit of a cliffhanger for you. Did you pick up on the clue?
