After Cyrus comes out, Jonah tries to explain a few things, but every time he tries, something interrupts him. This is going to be told from a single POV.

Jonah POV

So it had been a busy day yesterday. Cyrus helped me with a panic attack, we supported him through his grandmother's Shiva, and it ended with him coming out to me. It wasn't a big deal, he's still Cyrus and I still love him.

He had been much more relaxed around all of us, I was so pleased that he didn't have to carry his secret around anymore, but I also wished I could tell him my secret.

If I was able to be as open as him, I knew it'd be Docious, but I feel in many ways that I have a reputation to keep, and it has made my life more difficult than I would like.

I knew that today, I was going to try and be honest with Cyrus. Despite my better judgement, I figured that I could trust him seeing as he trusted me enough to tell me.

We met up first thing in the morning and we were on our way to school. As it was just us, I wanted to talk.

Me: So, how are you feeling?

Cyrus: I feel great, it's a relief to not have to pretend around you anymore.

Me: You don't need to feel like you ever have to pretend, I will never stop loving you.

For a brief second, I felt like I had set myself up to finally tell him my secret. Just as I was about to continue, Andi showed up.

Andi: Hey guys!

Cyrus: Andi!

Me: Hi Andiman!

We walked the rest of the way to school, but I remained quiet. I really didn't want to talk about this with anyone other than Cyrus.

*Time skip to lunch*

We had just finished our English class when Andi and Buffy went to get their lunch. I wasn't in a rush, and from the look of it, neither was Cyrus.

We went outside and sat down under a tree. We were sat so closely that I could feel his shoulder press against my own. I relaxed at his touch, and noticed that he was reading a book.

Me: So, can I please talk to you about something Cy-guy?

Cyrus closed his book and looked at me with intrigue. I tried to remain calm, but I knew this would be difficult.

Cyrus: Sure JoJo, go ahead.

Me: Well, I've been feeling different as of late.

Cyrus: In what way?

As I opened my mouth to speak, I heard a familiar voice and saw TJ run up to us. Could I not just tell Cyrus already?

TJ: Hey guys.

Cyrus: Hi *smiles*.

Me: Hi *I sigh, deflated*.

TJ: Wanna go to the swing set?

Cyrus: Sure, you coming Jonah?

Me: No thanks Cyrus, I should really get going anyway.

I sensed that he didn't believe me, but I wasn't about to pour my heart out to Cyrus in front of TJ. It was clear they were fond of one another, and my secret may make both of them hate me.

*Time skip to after school*

Now we were all walking home together. Why did I get the feeling that I wouldn't get to tell Cyrus how I felt?

After Andi and Buffy went to their houses, Cyrus and I were alone once again. He initiated the conversation.

Cyrus: So, you didn't tell me how you were feeling different.

Me: I know, I'm sorry, but I only want to talk to you about this and other people kept interrupting.

Cyrus: I can understand, what's on your mind.

Me: Well, actually I'm not going to let another moment pass.

I made the decision that shocked even myself. I kissed Cyrus, I actually did it. As much as it felt like the best thing to ever happen, I felt really guilty.

Me: Sorry, I'm so sorry!

I went to leave, but Cyrus grabbed my arm. I couldn't move as his grip was very tight, and he was much stronger than I gave him credit.

Cyrus: Wait, I had something I wanted to add.

Me: But---

I was once again kissing Cyrus, although this time I melted into it, and he did too. That's when my heart started to glow, and my cheeks went a deep shade of pink.

Cyrus: What took you so long?

Me: Uh...

Cyrus: Come on Jonah, I think we both wanted that to happen.

Me: But, what about TJ? Isn't he going to be disappointed?

Cyrus: I appreciate your concern, but he doesn't like me. I asked him and he wasn't interested.

Me: This is docious!

Cyrus: Been a while since you said that hasn't it?

Me: Yes, but this is maximum magocious!

I was caught a bit off guard as Cyrus slipped his hand into mine. His hand felt soft and warm, and better than I could've ever imagined. I noticed that Cyrus began to cry, which made me sad.

Me: What's wrong?

Cyrus: Nothing, these are happy tears. If only you knew what I'd been through in the past. I had such a big crush on you, and I thought you were straight!

Me: Well, I thought I was too, but you made me see that I'm not.

Cyrus: So, does this confirm Jyrus?

Me: You'll have to explain that to me.

Cyrus: Jyrus, it's our ship name. Jonah plus Cyrus equals Jyrus!

Me: Aww, that's sweet.

When he told me, I knew it definitely confirmed Jyrus. My brain and my heart told be that this was what I needed, and that going out with Cyrus would be my greatest achievement.

This was a little cheesy, but I hope it's still cute.
