With a little help from Buffy and Andi, Jonah and Cyrus talk to each other about their true  feelings.

Jonah saw Cyrus' face and it was one of sheer terror. Cyrus was sweating and his hands were shaking. Andi and Buffy looked sympathetic, without realising that they had both effectively had the same conversation.

As they returned to their seats, Jonah wanted to think about what he said before saying anything. For the first time, Jonah was able to see how vulnerable Cyrus felt.

Jonah: Dude, I want to talk to you about something.

Cyrus: Okay, what is it?

Jonah: I've noticed a few things.

Cyrus: Like what?

Jonah: How you act around me... You are either awkward or you worship me like a god.

Cyrus could feel his brain going berserk. Part of him wanted Jonah to make the connection with his feelings, but also another part of him wanted Jonah to not realise.

Cyrus: I don't follow.

Jonah: Don't lie to me Cyrus, I want you to be honest with me.

Cyrus: About what Jonah?

Jonah: Cyrus, do you have feelings me?

Andi and Buffy felt sorry for Cyrus, as they knew how uncomfortable it made him. Jonah hadn't wanted to make Cyrus upset, but he really wanted to know.

Cyrus: I can't tell you.

Jonah: That's not true.

Cyrus: I'm so scared.

Jonah: Of what?

Cyrus: Being honest.

The emotions were too much for Cyrus to handle. Tears formed and fell freely down his cheeks. Buffy put an arm around her friend, but Jonah wanted to do that instead.

Jonah: Buffy, do you mind?

Buffy: No, go ahead.

Buffy swapped positions with Jonah, who now held the smaller boy in his arms. He rocked gently back and forth in an effort to comfort his friend.

Jonah: You don't need to be scared, Cyrus.

Cyrus: B-but I care so much about you. I feel so strongly about you.

Jonah: So does this mean... it's true?

Cyrus: Yes Jonah, and I'm sorry.

Jonah: Stop being sorry. You've done nothing.

Cyrus: I...

Jonah: Except make me realise how much I like you.

Andi was pleased that Jonah was talking honestly, whilst Buffy watched for the reaction of Cyrus.

Cyrus: You... like me?

Jonah: More than any girl I've known.

Andi pretended to be offended by that comment, but smiled fondly at the boys. She knew at that moment that she didn't like Jonah in the same way Cyrus did.

Andi: How dare you! *giggles*.

Cyrus: You're not mad?

Andi: No, it's clear to me that when you two hang out, you can't think straight!

Buffy cringed at Andi's cliche joke, but laughed lightly along with the others. The mood had quickly changed into one of lightheartedness and love.

Buffy: Now that we've listened to that... can we continue with the point?

Jonah: Good idea.

Cyrus: Have you tried to drop hints to me?

Jonah: About what?

Cyrus: How you feel about me.

Jonah: Well, I was not really aware of my feelings. All I can tell you is that you made me realise that I like guys.

Cyrus: I could say the same about you.

As much as this was a beautiful moment, Andi knew that the boys would need to talk alone. She casually set that up for them.

Andi: Buffy, can you come home with me? I have to finish a project and could use your help.

Buffy: Sure Andi! Bye guys!

Cyrus: Actually we're not bi--- Oh never mind!

As the girls left, Cyrus turned back to Jonah, but he was not happy to talk in public, because he felt like he wouldn't be able to be completely honest with his friend.

Cyrus: Can we go for a walk?

Jonah: Sounds docious!

As they chuckled, Cyrus led Jonah out of the Spoon and they walked. They had no destination, it was more about talking to each other.

Cyrus:  Did you feel the same?

Jonah: What?

Cyrus: When you first saw me?

Jonah was a little confused, because he wasn't sure how Cyrus had felt when they met. He wanted to know more.

Jonah: That depends, how did you feel about me when we met?

Cyrus: I was so nervous. You made me blush and I would have to try hard not to say anything stupid.

Jonah: I don't recall you ever saying anything stupid.

Cyrus: I didn't?

Jonah: No, you've always been calm and content.

Cyrus: I never knew.

Jonah: To answer your question, when I first saw you I knew that I liked you, but I wasn't aware of the extent.

Cyrus: Promise me that whatever happens, we can remain friends?

Jonah: Oh...

Cyrus recognised the disappointment in Jonah's voice. He had never heard Jonah like this before, so it was very strange to hear it.

Cyrus: What's wrong?

Jonah: I was hoping to be more than just friends.

Cyrus: W- really?

Jonah: Cy-guy, I know we'll always be friends. But who says we can't go out?

Cyrus: You make a good point JoJo.

Jonah: In that case, would you maybe like to go on a date with me tomorrow?

Cyrus: I would love to, my first official date!

Jonah: Haha, easy there, it'll be my first proper date too.

Cyrus: What do you mean?

Jonah: You're the only one I want to be with, so it is special to me.

Taking a moment to look into each other's eyes, Cyrus knew Jonah was telling the truth, and couldn't wait for their date.
