Blindford Challenge

Cyrus has feelings for Jonah, but feels like he's got no chance. At Buffy's party, they share a moment with a little help from their friends.

Buffy POV

This was going to be so great, I had invited Amber, Andi, Cyrus, Jonah and Marty over for a party. It wasn't a special occasion, I just thought it would be great to hang out.

I had a plan for the evening. You see, there are two people that I know like each other very much, but they are both so afraid to tell one another. I think it's rather sweet, and I wanted to make sure that they expressed their feelings.

I was interrupted by a knock at the door. Amber, Andi and Marty arrived together. I had informed them of my plan a few days ago, and they were all in.

Buffy: So, you looking forward to this?

Andi: How could we not?

Amber: I can't wait to see how they react.

Marty: I just hope it all works out, it'd be a shame if they fell out because of this.

Buffy: Trust me, they won't.

Marty: We'll wait and see.

Andi: How exactly are we going to do this?

Buffy: We are all going to be blindfolded for a game, but we won't actually put on the blindfolds.

Amber: This is going to be very sweet, I can tell.

Cyrus POV

I walked to Buffy's house in a really good mood. Usually I do not enjoy parties, but I had a feeling this one would be good.

Buffy opened the door and I noticed Jonah wasn't there yet. Usually he is one of the first people to arrive, but clearly not on this occasion.

Buffy: You look happy.

Me: I've had a good day... Um, where's Jonah?

Andi: He isn't here yet.

Amber: I'm sure he's on his way though.

Marty: *trying not to give the game away* he'll be here don't worry.

I saw Buffy gently nudge Marty a little, which made me curious. I wasn't able to dwell on it to much as Jonah finally arrived.

Jonah: Hey Cy-guy.

Me: JoJo! You're here!

Jonah: Well of course I am.

Me: I was worried you wouldn't turn up.

Jonah: I wouldn't miss this, it should be awesome.

Me: I think you may be right.

I was really pleased to see Jonah, I just hoped my enthusiasm wouldn't give my feelings for him away. He meant everything and I was scared I'd make him mad.

Jonah POV

I had noticed Cyrus was really excited and had shown his usual mix of nerves and joy as he spoke to me. The fact he was worried I wouldn't show up made me smile, and to be honest, I thought it was cute, but I wouldn't tell him that. He would think I'm weird.

Me: What have you got planned for tonight then?

Buffy: We're going to play a few games. First up, we will play tag.

I found this a bit unusual, as that was a game we should play outdoors, but Buffy had a big house, so we just moved the furniture to the edge of the room.
