Cyrus has a busy day at school where he is away from his friends. When he gets to his locker he finds a letter. What does it all mean?

Cyrus was not looking forward to school. He knew that he was going to be away from his friends, as there were exams coming up and they all had to study. So there would be no distractions, he was split from Andi, Buffy, Jonah, Marty and TJ, who were all put into different classes.

He sighed, not knowing how he was going to cope without his friends. There was a feeling of sadness in his heart. Cyrus knew that he could study more effectively when he was around his friends.

When it was time to take a break from studying, Cyrus went to his locker. When he arrived he spotted a folded piece of paper. It had "Cyrus x" written in blue ink on it.

Dear Cyrus

I know this is a little random, but I really like you. It makes me sad that I will probably never get to be with you, but maybe I will have a chance one day.

I see the way you look at others, I saw how you would look at me and I hope I'm not getting the wrong idea.

I just hope that whatever happens, we can at least remain friends.

Love,

The guy who adores you.

Cyrus was not sure who could've done this, but he was very touched by it. There were a few people he had in mind, both of whom he would be very happy with.

He was able to meet up with his friends, as Andi, Buffy and Marty walked towards his locker moments later. He was still curious, but was unsure whether he should tell them.

Andi: Hey, what's that you've got?

Cyrus: It's nothing really, just a note.

Buffy: Are you going to show us?

Cyrus: I think not.

Marty: Oh go on, if it's only a note it can't be bad.

When they read the note, they were all confused. There was something that they noticed almost instantly.

Marty: Where are Jonah and TJ?

Cyrus: Don't ask me, I haven't seen them.

Andi: I bet it's one of them.

Buffy: We don't know that for sure.

Cyrus: I can dream *sighs*.

Before they went back to studying, TJ arrived. He looked suspiciously happy, and that made Cyrus think he was behind this.

TJ: Hi.

Cyrus: Are you okay?

TJ: I'm good, you?

Cyrus: I'm happy.

TJ: Anything interesting happen?

Cyrus: Actually yes, I got a note from a secret admirer.

Buffy and Andi saw how TJ smiled at Cyrus, giving them the belief TJ was responsible too. They decided to hold back and let the boys continue.

TJ: Oh really? Who would that be from then?

Cyrus: You don't know who wrote the letter?

TJ: No, but it wasn't me, I can tell you that.

Cyrus felt slightly sad at TJ admission, but at least it had narrowed the list of possible admirers down.

Cyrus: Well, I must get back to studying, see you later guys.

Leaving his friends, Cyrus quickly rushed to his class. As he got near, he felt a pair of arms grab him and take into one of the adjoining rooms. He was surprised to see it was Jonah.

Jonah: Hey Cyrus.

Cyrus: H-hi Jonah.

Jonah: You okay?

Cyrus: I'm fine.

Jonah: Cool, so there is something I want to talk to you about.

Cyrus: Is it a letter, by any chance.

Jonah went wide eyed, fully knowing what Cyrus referred to. He decided that he should just be honest with him.

Jonah: Oh, you saw that then.

Cyrus: Yes, so it was you?

Jonah: Yep, I was so nervous to tell you.

Cyrus gave Jonah a sympathetic look, knowing how hard it was to admit to liking someone in the belief they wouldn't like you back.

Cyrus: I have to admit, I'm a little bit confused.

Jonah: Really?

Cyrus: It's a little out of the blue. I never realised you even liked guys that way.

Jonah: I was ashamed for so long, and I tried to hide it.

Cyrus: You shouldn't be ashamed, it's perfectly normal.

Jonah: You must think I'm really stupid.

Jonah really did feel silly about the situation, and he was about to continue, when he noticed that Cyrus smiled at him, and was not being awkward about anything.

Cyrus: Jonah, you aren't stupid.

Jonah: I feel like a fool.

Cyrus: Well don't. You have so many nice qualities, all of which I like very much about you.

Jonah: I'm sorry I never told you that I'm gay.

Cyrus: It's cool bro. And didn't you know I'm gay too?

Jonah's face was open and surprised at the same time. He had previously wondered about Cyrus, but hadn't liked to make conclusions.

Jonah: Oh, that's cool too dude!

Cyrus: Do you want to study together later?

Jonah: Yes, I would enjoy that.

Sharing a smile, they went their separate ways and returned to their classes. At the end of the day, Cyrus waited for Jonah, but not before being questioned by the others.

Andi: So, did you find out who the letter was from?

Cyrus: Yes, it was from Jonah.

Buffy: I knew it!

Cyrus: I thought you said earlier that we couldn't know for sure.

Buffy: I know, but I think in reality it was obvious.

Marty: So, are you and Jonah going out?

Cyrus: Not yet.

Marty: You'll probably find out soon enough.

Andi: See you later.

As his friends left, Cyrus waited on his own for Jonah. After a couple of minutes, Jonah spotted Cyrus and ran over to him.

Jonah: Hey Cy-guy.

Cyrus: Hi Jo Lamajama!

Jonah: So, your house or mine?

Cyrus: Can I go to yours?

Jonah: Okay!

Walking along, they decided to find out more about each other. Jonah wanted, no needed one question to be answered.

Jonah: So, just to clarify... Do you like me?

Cyrus: Yes, I do.

Jonah: Cool, do you think that we could ever be together?

Cyrus: I was under the impression that we already were.

Jonah: Oh, in that case...

Jonah put an arm around Cyrus and kissed him on the cheek lovingly. It made Cyrus feel special and he was so proud of the fact that he had a boyfriend.

This was an idea I wanted to explore. I'm thinking of rewriting it as I don't think it's turned out well.
