Jyrus Oneshots - Part I (COMPLETED)

Through His Eyes

During an interesting dream, Jonah is able to see the world through Cyrus' eyes. Told from a single POV.

Jonah POV

I'd been having some really weird dreams lately. Cyrus had been appearing in all of them, but I had no idea why. I thought my brain or my heart was trying to tell me something.

The most interesting and different dream was the last one I had.

*Dream*

I was in my house, and I was looking at myself in a mirror. To my surprise, I saw that I was actually Cyrus. I had his face, his hair, absolutely everything.

I walked into the lounge and saw Buffy and Andi. As I was about to sit down, I saw myself, however in the dream, I realised that Cyrus and I had swapped bodies.

The girls greeted me, but I was still Jonah and they called me as such.

Andi: So Jonah, how's it going?

Me: Um... fine.

Buffy: Are you finding it difficult being this close to Cyrus?

Me: What? I'm not sure I understand.

Andi: You like him, you've been telling us for so long.

Me: I do?

Buffy: You're acting weird Jonah, you were literally talking about it a few minutes ago.

Me: I honestly don't remember.

Andi: You need to wake up and look at everything properly.

Buffy: I can see it in your eyes... you love him.

Andi: You were nervous when you first met him, you wanted to impress him.

This dream was confusing me, and I was wondering if there was a hidden meaning to it. Cyrus walked up to me, with my face and my voice. It was surreal.

Cyrus: Hey Jonah.

Me: Oh... hey C-Cyrus.

Why am I so hesitant around him? He's my best bud, we get along really well so why am I stuttering all of a sudden?

Cyrus: You're funny, why you nervous?

Me: I'm not sure, but you are so sweet.

Okay, now I'm starting to freak out. Something very strange was going on. I didn't mean to say that, it just came out...

Cyrus: Aww, you're adorable, do you know that?

Me: You think I'm adorable?

Cyrus: Of course.

Me: You are always so nice to me Cyrus.

Cyrus: You're so oblivious Jonah, it's what I love about you.

Then I managed to link it all together. Was the dream trying to tell me that maybe Cyrus liked me? Just as I was going to respond, I woke up.

*End of Dream*

I figured that perhaps I should just speak to Cyrus. He's a pretty relaxed guy, right? He wouldn't think that I was weird, would he?

I went for a walk in the park to clear my mind, but I saw Cyrus with the girls, and without thinking, I went over to speak to him.

Me: Hey Cyrus.

Cyrus: Hi Jonah.

Me: Can I talk to you about something?

Cyrus: Sure, you can talk to me about anything.

We walked over to a bench and sat down. I wanted to explain this clearly, but I felt awkward, because it made me think that Cyrus wouldn't think I was a nice person.

Andi: What's going on then?

Me: I had a weird dream last night.

Cyrus: Really, what about?

Me: We, swapped bodies. Buffy and Andi told me that I was so nervous around you, and that I loved you.

Buffy: Wow, that's... different.

Cyrus: Oh...

I watched Cyrus closely, looking for any clues that may give me an idea of what everything truly meant. He looked at me with slight fear.

Me: What's wrong?

Cyrus: I think you just saw the world through my eyes.

Me: You mean...

Cyrus: I am always nervous around you Jonah, I love you more than any other human being on earth.

It took me a few moments to process what Cyrus told me. He looked like he was about to cry, but in all honesty, I felt the same.

Me: So I guess I have to acknowledge the fact, that we are both important to one another.

Cyrus: That may be true, but I don't think I'm as important to you.

Me: You can't be serious?

Cyrus: Believe me, I can't live without you. I only want to be with you.

There was a moment of silence, before Andi interjected.

Andi: What about you Jonah? How do you honestly feel?

Me: I... sort of... do love you Cyrus.

Cyrus: But you don't love me like that, do you Jonah?

I was conflicted, as my head told me that Cyrus was right, but my heart kept telling me it wanted Cyrus. Should I follow my head or my heart? I wanted to be happy, so I followed my heart.

Me: That's the thing... I am in love with you.

At that point, I saw everyone looking at me. I couldn't work out if they were happy or angry, but all that mattered to me was how Cyrus felt.

Cyrus: You're just so awesome, I feel empty when you aren't here.

Me: You are the reason I am not a failure. You believed in me when lots of people didn't.

Cyrus: I want to be with you... please... I can't wait any longer.

Me: I want that too, so... Cyrus, I promise to look after you forever.

Cyrus: And I'll always be here for you, no matter what.

Cyrus surprised me by smashing our faces together. Our lips met for the first time, and it was like they fitted together perfectly. We pulled away and my heart was racing.

Andi: So sweet!

Buffy: What a moment!

We all laughed and there was now no more secrets between us. My best friend was now my boyfriend.
