How Could You - Part 2

After the previous day's events, Jonah has a big decision to make with the help of Buffy and Andi.

Jonah had a terrible night. He couldn't sleep, which meant his mood was even worse than it would have been.

He had been thinking so much about what he wanted. His heart yearned for Cyrus, but his head didn't, in fact it forbid him from talking to the other boy.

Cyrus had been awake all night too, reliving the shame of the previous day. He couldn't believe how stupid he had been.

He knew that TJ was going to apologise to Jonah, but he couldn't build up the courage to do it yet. Cyrus couldn't see the point at the time.

When Cyrus arrived at school, he saw TJ, but not Jonah or the girls. He ran over to speak, but was cut off.

TJ: Don't talk to me, I promised Jonah I would keep away from you.

Cyrus: But---.

TJ: After all that happened, I owe him to keep this promise.

Cyrus: Did you apologise?

TJ: Yes, and although he hasn't forgiven me, I don't think he's mad anymore.

Cyrus: What should I do?

TJ: For goodness sake, just say your sorry already. Now I must go before Jonah sees us talking.

TJ left without saying anything else. Cyrus felt even worse that TJ had at least attempted to make it up to Jonah.

Jonah and the girls arrived, prompting Cyrus to stay quiet before he was joined by the others. This was the moment that he had been dreading, even though he brought it all on himself.

Andi: Hello.

Cyrus: Hi.

Buffy: Hope you've had time to think about what you did.

Cyrus: Yes.

Jonah was conflicted, he wanted to talk to Cyrus, but he also didn't want to talk at that moment. Cyrus decided it was time.

Cyrus: Please, let's at least talk.

Jonah: Ugh, fine!

Cyrus: I don't know what I was thinking, I... made the biggest mistake of my life.

Jonah: Yes, you did.

Cyrus: I'm sorry.

Jonah: Are you?

Cyrus: Well, yes.

Jonah: I don't think so somehow.

Cyrus was becoming angry, he didn't think it wasn't all his fault. TJ was just as much to blame, so why did Cyrus get a worse reaction.

Cyrus: So why does TJ get away with it?

Jonah: He didn't, but at least the first thing he did was come and apologise.

Cyrus: And that makes him better than me?

Jonah: I'm not saying that... TJ was at least honest and tried to put things right. You haven't said anything to me.

Cyrus: I can't believe this is happening.

Jonah: Cyrus, calm down! You wanted to talk, so talk properly.

Cyrus: Are you going to listen Jonah?

Jonah: Yes, now come on, spill.

Cyrus: I thought that I had rushed going out with you, that as soon as we spent any time together you would see how much better you could do.

This made Jonah even more confused, but he was also able to see why Cyrus would think that way.

Jonah: You didn't handle it right. We need to be more honest if we're going to be happy.

Cyrus: Is there any point? We are a lost cause.

Jonah: Cyrus, let me ask you a question.

Cyrus: Fine Jonah.

Jonah: Do you honestly love me?

Cyrus: More than anyone else in the world. But I've lost you. Do you love me?

Jonah: Yes I do... Ugh, I can't take this anymore!

Without warning, Cyrus found Jonah's lips against his. He had missed this feeling, and the kiss was so much better than the one he shared with TJ.

Andi: Well I wasn't expecting that.

Buffy: What does this mean?

Jonah: I can't live without you Cyrus, I'll give you another chance, but you have to be honest with me.

Cyrus: I... Jonah I promise I will, I never want to be without you.

TJ walked by and saw the boys happily looking at one another. A small smile crept onto his face, and he went over to talk to them again.

TJ: Is everything okay now?

Cyrus: Yes it is.

Jonah: We are back to normal.

TJ: I'm glad, but don't be ashamed and lie ever again Cyrus.

Cyrus: Trust me, I won't be doing that again.

Jonah: I think he knows better than to do it again.

TJ: Good Jonah, now if you'll excuse me.

TJ left the group, feeling satisfied that things had been repaired. He just hoped that Cyrus would keep his word this time.
