Erza was awake, but didn't bother to open her eyes. It was too early for that. She turned around, expecting to land her arm over her partner, but instead it fell on top of the fluffy sheets. She moved her hand up, down, right, left but couldn't feel his skin.
Curious, she opened one of her eyes only to see that he was missing. Quickly she sat up and wondered where he could've went. She huffed in annoyance. He promised he was going to stay in bed today since the council gave him a day off.
Right before she opened her mouth to call him, a pair of large, muscular arms wrapped around her. Planting a kiss on her shoulder, Jellal greeted her with a, "Good morning."
She looked to her side and found him smiling at her. "Good morning," Erza responded with a smile of her own.
