I wake up to some more arguing, it was Miss. Grimshaw yelling at everyone. "We need to keep things packed just in case they come back. We're only going to give them a week!" A week is not enough time but since the Pinkertons are on our tail we don't have the right to argue. I get up slip on my boots and head outside. My body felt heavier and there was this nasty smell.

I head to a tree and squat against it, the outhouse here is disgusting so everyone is going by trees. I was hearing footsteps coming near I didn't have any weapons with me. I quickly grabbed a stick and held it close to me. "Y/n I think- oh wow I'm sorry." Charles accidentally saw that I was doing my business, or was it an accident? "What's going on Charles?"
"I'm going to see what's going on with John and with Rains Fall. So I'll be gone most of the day." I nod my head and wipe myself with a giant leaf. "Okay just be careful and don't let anyone follow you."
"You be careful too, take it easy today. I told the ladies to keep an eye on you. Have a great day." Charles gets on his horse and waves goodbye. I wave back and watch him leave in the distance.

I woke up so late that it was lunch time, Pearson couldn't make much because of Miss. Grimshaws orders. "For you just take as many cans." I took some strawberries, corn and meat, peaches, and veggies. Sometimes I feel like a whale with how much I eat. Sitting by the fire I open and cook my meat and corn. Little jack comes up to me, "Hey y/n" he comes and gives me a hug. "Hey Jack, what's new?" I say enthusiastically. "Well were in a new place and mama told me you are having a baby. I hope it's a boy." He smiles excitedly. "Why do you want it to be a boy?" I ask curiously. "Well I want to be best friends with him and then we can play together." I smile warmly at what Jack said. That would be the cutest thing ever. "Well whatever the baby is I hope it's healthy and well." Jack nods in agreement.

A few minutes later a little girl snuck up on us. "H-hello." I turn around and see a little girl with a head wrap and a brown and orange dress. "Hello." I wave to her and she waves back. I pat the other side of the tree trunk I was sitting on. "We're nice people, trust me." She cautiously makes her way to us and sits down. "What's your name?"
"Lakisha ma'am." I nod my head because that was a unique name. "That's a pretty name."
"Yours ma'am?" She was very respectful I'll give her that but I didn't like being called that. "Y/n and you don't have to call me ma'am." I assured her. "Well that's a pretty name." I take out some German chocolate, "Would y'all like to share this with me?" Jack and Lakishas face lights up. I open the wrapping paper around it and break a piece for her. "Have you ever had German chocolate?"
"No I have only had the store chocolate once and that was good." I'm glad I'm sharing this. "Wait until you try this." She bites into it and her face was just priceless. "Oh my that very good!" Jack tries the piece that I gave him and he agrees. "May I have some more?" She politely asks me. "Sure." I break the bar in half and give one half to her and one half to Jack. "I'm probably spoiling your dinner but oh well." After the kids dig into the chocolate she asked if she could braid my hair. Lakisha told me that I have beautiful hair. "Lakisha Davis! What on earth are you doing?! You better get over her now!" I turn to where the voice was at and it was down the street. The woman continued about that the place was haunted and that we were bad people. "Sorry.. I have to go. Thank you for being kind, we need more kindness in this world." She smiles then runs off before I could say you're welcome.

I wish her the best and hope she stays herself. "Why does that woman think we're bad?" Jack asks confused. "Umm some people think that we're bad because of what we do but in this case it's something different."
"How different?" He asks me. Part of me want to tell him the other part doesn't. "You know what let's go see what mama is up to?" Jack puts his hand in mine and we walk to the shack. "Mama!" Jack calls out and Abigail quickly rubbed her face then continued folding clothes. I could tell she was crying but she didn't want Jack to see it. She's worried about John and I can understand. I'm missing my other half too. "Why don't you go collect some rocks for me? But be careful if you see anything dangerous stay away." Lakay is not a place for children to play at. Jack runs out of the shack and Abigail breaks down. "I miss him y/n. Either way he's a damn idiot." I hug her and hope that he's well. "I'm worried about mine too. I didn't feel like getting up today." I helped her fold some clothes and Charles came in the shack. "Abigail.. I have some bad news about John." She stands up and so do I. "There's talk about hanging him." Abigail dropped faster than a sack of potatoes.

Charles moved her to her bed and I was fanning her while she was passed out. "I need to go see Rains Fall, I'll be back later tonight." Charles hugs me then heads out. Abigail wakes up and sits up quickly, "woah slow down."
"John! They're going to hang him! How much time do we have?!" She asks me gripping my hand. "Abigail I don't know, they're still working on it." She continued to cry and be upset, this wasn't helping me and my situation. I want to be there but it's hard. "I need to get some rest, I'm tired." She nods and lays back down. Before I could go to sleep though I need to write.

Day 1
Arthur where ever you are please come back to me. I miss you so damn much, I feel incomplete without you. It's hard to not think the worst but I'm not giving up. I only cry when I'm about to sleep, I miss your warm body on mine. I miss you pulling me in close, I miss you kissing me. I miss my cowboy, my husband, my one and only.

I was so tired that I fell asleep while my journal was still in my hand.
