Bi-stressed

CHAPTER 9

We walk together towards the pools. I love swimming pools and as soon as we reach them, without hesitating I jump into it. It's utter folly to go swimming in this cold weather but I can't help it. It's winter and I soon find myself shivering in the cold icy water. Luna jumps in too while Kim still hesitates. Without listening to her I catch her hand and pull her into the water. She's shivering the moment she enters in and hurries out of the water. I'm in the pool with Luna and soon realize she's splashing water on me and I do the same as she does. It feels like we never fought or nothing happened between us the way we splash water on each other. I'm confused. Is she fine with me?  Splashing water is something I never expected to come from her especially at this stage when we ended stuff and I almost tried killing myself. I can't think straight at all and we continue splashing water on each. I can't stop I don't why. It feels so right and so wrong at the same instant.

"I'm cold." she says while shivering.

"Me too." I reply.

We get out of the water and her hand is in mine. What the hell is happening? I can't function my mind. We ended stuff and here she is, settling my bra strap, splashing water and now her hand in mine. This can't be happening. I can't be giving in her again like always. I can't forgive and forget this time!

I cease holding her hand, she hands me a float and we make our way up to the slides. On our way up, she calls out to Laura her hand in hers. I feel jealousy growing as they hold hands and walk up together. This is not how I'm supposed to feel. Why should I get jealous seeing them together. It's not like they're dating or anything but I can't help the amount of jealousy I feel seeing them like that. Maybe because she was my best friend and we were so close and now seeing her with someone else is killing me but I shouldn't care anyways.

The way up is quite long and exhausting. My bare feet ache while we walk up this mountain like shit. It's really like climbing up a freaking mountain. I regret taking off my slippers down but it's good in way that I won't have to climb back up to take them. When we reach up, I decide to go with Kim in the float since each float has place for two. I know for sure Luna will go with Laura so before she says a word I decide to go with Kim.

"You get in first!" I tell Kim.

"I'm scared!" she shouts.

"It's going to be fun!" I shout back.

We both get in and as it moves down the slide, it's more exciting than I expected. The slide is quite long and fun. When we reach down, Luna fights with someone to get a float for me. Why does she have to, I can take it myself! She knows me too well that I won't fight for a float and will let the other person take it anyway. She knows I won't speak up, I'm shy, too naïve. We go on it a second time and I'm too tired to walk up that mountain like shit again.

"Let's go to the artificial waves!" I say aloud.

They all finally agree to go in the water and we head towards the artificial beach. It looks so real, like a real seashore. The ground is brown representing sand. It's is wet and it feels like I'm walking on an actual beach. It's chasmic as we go far deep in. 
It's briny, so briny that u feel like I'm in an actual sea. We go underwater and Melissa and me have a swimming race.

"Teach me to swim!" Luna shouts aloud.

"I'll teach you!" I'm surprised when the words leave my mouth. The group looks surprised as well but ignore to look at anyway and continue.

At first I think about making her float and relax, closing her eyes but I hold back before letting my actions get through.

"Take a deep breath first!" she does as told.

"Now bend forward into the water, putting your face completely into he water... Now kicking your legs and stroking with your arms try to move forward." She tries but fails, I try to help but Kim calls out to me.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Let's go eat. I'm way too hungry!

"Okay."

We all get out of the water and are on our way back to China Lagoon. I'm shivering, being unable to walk. Kim takes hold of my hand and walks separate from the group.

"Hear me out!" She shouts.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"You know exactly what's wrong! After so much happening, your still after her!  She made your life hell, miserable and here your teaching her to swim! Wow!"

"I -uh"

"If you speak to her again, I'll tell Zac!" She warns.

"But she was the one to..."

"I don't care! You're not going back to her after all that she did to you. She made your life hell remember. You tried to harm yourself because of her and I can't afford to loose you!"

"Okay, I'll try to stay away from her but if she comes near..."

"Move away! Simple." She cuts me off again.

"Okay."

When we reach, I forget Luna has my keys. I'm too cold unable to walk further or even move. As we go in the change room, I fall to the floor resting myself back on the wall. She comes and covers me with my sweater and hers and well.
