The moon's delicate light turns the world a flame with silver when I see her comely figure standing just a feet ahead.
Her willowy body shifts from one hip to another making her moon shadow black curls dangle about. As she chortles she flies her arms in the air, throws them back down and then rests her hands on her sylphlike waist.
As I walk in, my heart begins to race seeing her dancing about in front of me.
She can't be here.
I pass by her without a glance and walk up to Anastasia and Lucas, Zac's and my really close friends.
"Hi Lexi!" Anna says with a smirk.
"Hi" I say giving her a hug but my eyes are spontaneously on her. On Luna.
"So you're not gonna say hi?" Lucas teases while giving me a side hug.
"Oh hi! Actually-"
"Where are you lost huh?" Lucas says following the direction of my eyes.
"Umm nowhere." I turn my face towards them and force a smile.
A set of dazzling, angle white teeth gleams as her mouth opens in laughter. A pair of thick eyebrows inclines slightly as she catches me staring at her. I yelp at being caught admiring her. Her long eyelashes of velvet blink and her enticing emerald green eyes gaze at me. That's when our eyes meet and I know it's not her when I look into them.
She looks exactly like Luna!
"Picture!" Lucas screams looking at me.
Anna, Lucas and Zac are already ready for the picture and I'm still here admiring how incredibly gorgeous Luna's twin looks.
"Squeeze in!" Lucas laughs.
"Hey!" This voice is familiar and when I turn my face towards the person, it surprises me to see Elaine.
"Oh hi!"
"Long time no see." She smirks.
"Yeah."
The start of the conversation is pretty awkward but as we keep going it's the same us. The old us.
The crazy us.
The Christmas carols are repeating one after the other and it's getting boring.
"Can they stop playing Christmas carols now and DJ properly!" I yell.
After about 10 minutes, traditional pop starts playing and then it turns into bass music.
"You wanna have?" Zac offers me absolute vodka mixed with soda.
I smirk at him taking a prolonged sip. As it passes down, my chest burns. I never drank in my life before. I keep sipping which makes me dance wild.
"I want my own drink." I tell him.
"Here, this is gin. Dry gin. Blue Sapphire."
The countless sips of absolute vodka and Blue Sapphire sets me at ease, relieving the pains. The music and disco lights get me going crazy and I dance care free.
"Are you alright?" Hardin asks when I trip for the third time.
"Oh yeah. Yeah I am." I giggle and he frowns.
"I don't think so." He catches my hand making me steady.
"It's just the lights." I pull down his face to my height and scream into his ears.
"Have you been drinking?"
"Duh?"
"You've never drank before right?" He asks, into my ears and focuses on my face.
"No. This is my first ti.."
"Then your boyfriend should be with you! How the fuck can he leave you drinking alone!" He yells.
He's right! How can Zac leave me alone when he's given me to drink. Where the hell is he? He disappears God knows where. I need him with me right now and he's prolly with his friends.
I look around and I find Anna and Lucas dancing besides.
"Where's Zac?" Daniel, Zac's best friend shouts through the blasting music into my ears.
I shrug my shoulders and nod not knowing myself where the fuck he disappears after every two minutes.
I'm so tired of running behind him honestly.
What if he's with another girl?
To steer clear my thoughts, I gulp down some more him and begin dancing like I don't care. I sing over the music and the alcohol makes my body move. I can feel Hardin keeping an eye on me. At the last year, bonfire he spilled beer on me and this year he's keeping an eye on me. Nice, Hardin. I wish you were always that caring before as you are now.
