CHAPTER 33

"Merry Christmas!"

Few relatives and friends come over, greeting us.

Christmas afternoon is spent cuddling with Zac and watching Christmas movies with everyone. I've almost finished the kal kals and most of the Christmas sweets. The room smells so sweet and I feel like stopping time. I love this time of the year and the its passing by so soon. I hate the feeling which comes after Christmas is over. Soon evening arrives and oh, I have to get ready for dinner at Zac's place.

I take a hot shower and put on my clothes. An elegant red blouse with my favorite velvet bel bottoms. At first I put on heels but dinner's at home so heels would look too extra plus I wanna be comfy so flats will do me good. After applying red lipstick, I don't do much to my hair. It's straightened so I'm gonna leave it open.

There's a knock.

Probably Zac.

"Hey. Woah! You look so fucking gorgeous."

"Umm, and you're killing me. You look so hot in this black shirt."

"You ready?  They're waiting for us in the car."

Dinner at my future in laws house went amazing. All the dishes were delectable, one of which Zac cooked.
The warm welcome into the family made me feel so comfortable. His dad's jovial sense of humor makes me miss my father so much and the feeling of having a sister with whom I can share my secrets with. Not that I don't consider Halsey as my elder sister but there are some things which I don't feel comfortable sharing with her. It's just the age difference which makes it seem weird. I wish his mom was living, I've always dreamt of going marketing with my mother in law, helping her in the kitchen and being the best daughter in law. I've always felt the need of a mother since my own hardly gives me time. I really love his, um my future family.

Night falls...  Morning arrives...

The second day of Christmas!

It's again spent in lunches and dinners.

The third day, its 7:45 and Zac and me are sitting on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful view and cold weather with a cup of hot tea.

"Imagine as the years pass by, we'll find ourselves sitting like this in our own house, married, settled and me pregnant."

"Just waiting for that day." He says pulling me closer to himself and hugging me tightly. He then plants a kiss on my forehead and looks at me straight in the eye.

"Are you sure we're going to marry each other?"

"Yes." I answer.

"I'm 100% sure that I'll marry you because you're the first girl I've ever fallen in love with and you remind me so much of my mother. I actually see my future in your eyes. " Zac says with tears filled in his eyes.

"I love you. You know that, don't you?"

"Yes."

Christmas week passes by soon it's New Year's Eve!

"What happened to him? Did he just ignore you?" Elaine asks while we three stand outside the church.

At this moment I feel like I'm nothing to him. Seeing him walking towards me, giving a side hug to Erica but he completely ignores me. This small shit hurts and it's making me mad.

"You just ignored me?" I frown.

"No." Zac says

"I was standing right here with Elaine and Erica. You gave Erica a side hug and just walked towards Louis and Halsey like was I fucking invisible?" I yell at Zac, tears forming in my eyes as I try so hard to keep them in.

"Uh I did-"

"I was invisible to you right?"

"I didn't see you standing here, I thought you were with Louis and Hal-"

"Ah bullshit. You're visually impaired now?"

"Really I-"

"Wow."

After about an hour I find myself on him, making out.

"I'm still mad at you." I scowl at him.

He giggles and them continues kissing me.

He ignored me infront of my so-called friends which was so hurtful and I just gave into him so easily. My mistake. Actually I just over react on little things. No but this little thing did hurt.....

                  It's 12:00

*"Happy New Year bbg!"* Luna's message appears in my notifications.

*"Same to you."*

After midnight mass, we go to Dunkin Donuts.

"Let's start the new year with sweetness." Aunt Steph smirks.
