Bi-stressed

CHAPTER 47

I look around the room to find him nowhere. His sister told me that he's asleep in his room but... At that moment, I hear water gushing in the bathroom. He's probably taking a shower. I place the delicious breakfast on his side table along with the gift and a letter I wrote to him. Suddenly I hear the gush of water stop. I hide in the corner, besides the cupboard.

I peep, to see him naked just a towel tied round his waist. His brown sinewy body gleams as he draws the curtains open and sunlight touches his body. The tiny drops of water run down his well defined muscles and he flexes his muscles admiring  himself in the mirror. I cover my mouth with my palm and try not to let my giggle be audible. What fun if I pull his towel down? I think to myself and control my laughter. I was actually supposed to surprise him when he came out. I peep and see him going in the bathroom again, so I run, jump into his bed and cover myself with his blanket. Not even a minute and I hear him coming towards the bed. I hear him unfold the letter which means he's seen the breakfast and gift as well.

"Mia, did Lexi send this?" He yells.

I feel him bending down to remove the blanket, that's when I throw the blanket off me and scream, "Surprise!"

"Woah. What the?"

I jump on him, twisting my legs round his waist and hugging him.

"Happy Birthday!" I kiss him.

"Thank you so much! I love you."

"Your most welcome!" I smile, the kiss him again.

"Now if you'll are done, can we have breakfast together. I made some chocolate waffles with peanut butter sauce."

"I made something too."

"Oh please. Stop you'll both. No one is a better cook than me!" He smirks.

"Whatever!" Mia and me sneer at him.

After having a delectable meal he says, "Wow. That was amazing! Thank you so much Mia and Lexi."

"Your welcome. Also, thanks. We knew it would be amazing, obviously." I smirk.

After having an hour conversation at the breakfast table, I help Mia watch the plates.

"Did you see your gift?" I ask.

"Oh, I forgot about it."

He seats himself on the couch and starts unwrapping his gift.

"Woah! This watch is incredible Lexi." He stands up to his feet and walks towards me.

"Do you like it?" I ask him.

"Yes, I love it. But why'd you gift me such an expensive one?"

"I liked this one for you so I bought it for you now shut up and be happy."

"But you didn't have to."

"Sshh. I wanted to." I cover his mouth with my finger, then he pulls me closer and kisses me gently.

"Let's watch a movie!" He says.

"Okay. Which one?"

"Midnight Sun? To All The Boys I've Loved Before? The Kissing Booth?"

"Midnight Sun we've watched already. Let's watch To All The Boys I've Loved Before and we can watch The Kissing Booth after it."

"I wanted to watch The Perfect Date but it's not released as yet."

"Yeah it'll be released in April. Also, Five Feet Apart, The Sun is also a Star and After are all releasing then."

"Oh. Let me start the movie."

I close the curtains, dim the lights and make myself comfortable on the couch while Zac starts the movie.

"Mia, come watch with us!"

"Oh thanks. I would love to but I'm reading."

"She prefers reading over movies." Zac says.

"Oh. That's nice. Even I love reading. Which book are you reading?"

"The Fault in our Stars."

"Oh, Shawn bought me this book yesterday. Will start reading it tonight."

"It's amazing." Mia says.

"Shawn?" Zac's asks, clearing his throat.  Shit.

"Yeah. Anyways, start the movie."

"Sure." He glares at me then clears his throat and rolls his eyes at me.

"Oh, come on Zac. Stop it."

"Why'd he buy you that?"

"Why can't he? Actually I went to buy your gift yesterday so we met at the mall. Then I treated him McDonald's and he bought me that book."

"Okay. So it was kind of a date."

"No. Can't I hangout with my best friend?"

"Yeah sure. You can." He rolls his eyes again.

"Stop acting like that. I love you." I move closer to him and kiss him on the cheek. After few seconds he smiles and wraps his arm around my shoulder. "I love you more."

After watching both the movies, I fall asleep in his arms. After few minutes I wake up and find Zac in the kitchen. I go up and help him cook.

He picks me up and places me on the kitchen counter. His left hand rubs my thigh and his right one is placed under my chin. He then kisses me slowly and gently. After about 15 minutes I smell something.

"Wow, you'll are so busy making out that you'll didn't even smell the food burning." Mia laughs.

He pulls himself away and I jump down the counter to find myself embarrassed and giggling.

"It's okay." She laughs.

We three then help each other cook. After having lunch, Zac drops me home and I'm so exhausted since I woke up early  that I fall asleep as soon as I lay down on the bed.  
In the evening, I go to meet Aunt Steph and spend time with Beth.
I face time Lyra since she wanted to see Beth. Soon night falls and I get to bed. Tomorrow's Valentine's Day. I wonder what Zac does for me.
