Karly's P. O. V.
I was walking home from work with Soda and Steve, we were talking about school. Steve was talking about taking Evie to Prom since he was still in school and it was their senior year. We were giving him advice in how to ask her and dress. Some how we ended up talking about Soda dropping out and how I dropped out and what my education was like in New York.
All three of us we lost in our conversation until we heard someone yelling. It sounded like Ponyboy, so we ran in the direction of the yelling, and sure enough he was getting jumped. I was glad nothing bad happened, and that Johnnycakes wasn't there.
I punched the guy who was on top of Pony out, while Steve and Soda got the rest. I checked Pony over and he was okay so I told him to go home and quickly. After that we finished off the Socs and headed to the Curtis'.
Darry was talking to Pony and then he saw us and came over and started to fix us up. Dally cleaned up my knuckles and wrapped my right wrist, other than that I was okay. We told our stories and got ready for dinner.
I sat on the couch in between Dally and Two-Bit and fell asleep.
