6 months later

Can and Sanem were now living in Can's childhood home. Sanem absolutely loved it there. Sanem did not change much of the inside. The walls needed painted and they had to get new carpet, but nothing else was changed. Can had so many memories in this home. He told Sanem he was ready to make new memories with her and their unborn child. Sanem was no longer walking. It was more of a waddle. She was huge for being almost 7 months pregnant. She felt like she was carrying more than one baby. Her backed ached. She was grouchy. Her feet were swollen. They were due for their first ultrasound tomorrow. They would find out the sex of their baby then. Sanem was excited. Can was taking off work to accompany her to the appointment. Can was handling everything like a trooper. He ignored her outburst. He made her elevate her feet by placing them on his lap every evening. He rubbed her back almost daily. If she craved something strange, he went and found it. God, she loved this man.

It was the next day. Can drove Sanem to her doctor's appointment. Sanem checked in and waited to be called back. A pregnant lady was sitting across from them and asked if she was expecting twins. Sanem eyes got huge. Sanem told her she didn't think so. The lady told her it looked like more than one baby was in there. Sanem looked at Can and they both had shocked looks on their face. Sanem got called back. Can grabbed her hand and they walked back to the room. The nurse told her to undress and put a gown on. Sanem rolled her eyes and said lovely. Nothing like having my rear hanging out. Can laughed and told her she had a nice rear. Sanem told him it figures he would say something sexual. The doctor came in before Can could respond to Sanem's comment. She asked Sanem some questions and then asked if she was ready to see their baby. Can and Sanem both said yes. She lifted Sanem's gown, applied some slimy, cold gel to Sanem's stomach and started moving this wand thing around her stomach. Pictures started appearing on a screen beside Sanem's head. After a few minutes, the doctor said Oh my. Sanem asked what was wrong. The doctor told her there was more than one baby in there. Sanem said what? Can asked how many were in there? The doctor pointed to the screen and counted...1...2...3. The doctor said she was having triplets. Sanem looked at Can and they were both in shock. They both said 3 babies at the same time. The doctor asked if they wanted to know the sex of each baby. They both said yes. The doctor said this one is a girl. She moved the wand around and said there is another girl. She proceeded to move the wand to a different place and said it looked like this last one was a boy. Sanem looked at Can and told him she wasn't supposed to have all 3 kids at once. This isn't what she saw in her dreams. The doctor looked at her strangely. She told Sanem she needed to take it easy because triplets sometimes came earlier than the due date. Sanem said OK. The doctor told her she wanted to see her back in a week. She told them she would have the ultrasound pictures waiting for them at check out. Sanem got dressed and her and Can headed out to make the next appointment. They received their ultrasound pictures. Neither one said anything on the drive back home.

Once they arrived back home, Sanem went and sat out on the balcony. She needed some air badly. Can came out and sat next to her. He asked if she was OK. Sanem told him yes. It was just a shock. She asked him how she would take care of 3 babies, instead of just one? Can told her with his help. He told her they were in this together. He told her this isn't what they both planned, but they would deal with it and be the best parents they possibly could. He told her they both dreamed of 3 children. Now it would be 3 children at once. Sanem laughed. She told Can she was scared. What if she failed as a mother? Will she love them equally? Can embraced her and told her she would be an excellent mother and she would love each one equally. He told Sanem she was a strong woman who has accomplished a lot. She was creative, funny, a problem solver and beautiful on top of everything else. Sanem gave him a quick kiss. She smiled and told him she married a man who has super sperm. Can laughed so hard his gut hurt.

They got out the ultrasound pictures and looked at their babies. Sanem pointed to each baby and said Deniz...Yildiz...Atesh. Can smiled and said our babies. Can then said look at it this way. You will give birth to all 3 of our babies at once and then you will be done. Sanem gave him her mother's famous eye stare and told him so not funny, Mr. Divit. Can laughed. Sanem asked him if wanted to go show her parents the pictures and then to his dad and Mihriban's house? Can told her what ever she wanted, but they wouldn't stay long because she needed to rest. Sanem said aye, aye Captain. Can embraced her and gave her a deep kiss. He told her he loved her so much. Sanem told him she loved him more than herself. They got in the truck and headed to Sanem's parent's house first. When they got there, Sanem rang the doorbell. Mevkibe answered and was so happy to see them. She said come in children. Nihat was sitting outside in the garden. They all sat down at the table. Sanem told them about her doctor's appointment and wanted to show them the ultrasound pictures. Nihat and Mevkibe looked at the pictures and then stared at Can and Sanem. Mevkibe said 3 babies? Can nodded yes with a smile. Nihat looked up and said 3 grand babies? Sanem nodded yes. Mevkibe and Nihat then looked at each other with tears in their eyes and laughed. They both yelled 3 grand-babies!! They jumped up and hugged and kissed Can and Sanem. Can told them they had to leave to go see his dad and Mihriban. Then they were going home so Sanem could rest. It was doctor's orders. Everyone kissed and hugged good-bye. They hopped in the truck and headed to Aziz and Mihriban's house.

When they arrived at the farm, where Aziz and Mihriban lived, they found them sitting on the balcony enjoying the fresh air. Sanem told them about her doctor's appointment and brought the ultrasound pictures for them to see. They handed the pictures to Aziz and Mihriban but stayed silent. When they figured out what they were seeing, Aziz and Mihriban looked at each other in shock. They then looked at Can and Sanem. Aziz spoke up and asked does this mean I have going to be a grandfather to 2 little girls and a boy? Can told his dad yes. Sanem looked at Mihriban, who had tears in her eyes, and told her this means you are going to be a grandmother to 2 girls and a boy. Mihriban had tears running down her eyes. She told them she would be honored to be their grandmother. She embraced Sanem. Can told them they had to go. Sanem needs her rest. The doctor told her to take it easy because with triplets they may come earlier than the actual due date. They all hugged and kissed. Can and Sanem then headed home. On the way home, Can asked Sanem to explain the super sperm comment to him. Sanem laughed.
