SPENDING TIME WITH THEIR KIDS

The next morning, Can woke up before Sanem. He called the police station to see if they were done processing their house. The officer said they had completed their investigation and the processing was complete. Can asked what the conclusion was to the investigation. The officer said they ruled it self-defense. Mr. Hakan was there to cause Mrs. Sanem physical harm and Mr. Omer stopped it. Can thanked the officer. Can asked if he could send his cleaning crew in there now. The officer said yes. As soon as Can ended the call, he called the cleaning crew. He wanted them in there today to get that bedroom cleaned. He said if needed, they could call someone to change the carpet in the bedroom. The owner of the cleaning company said it would be taken care of. Can told the owner he wanted his family back in their house by tonight. The owner said it would not be a problem. Can ended the call. When he looked at Sanem, she was awake and watching him. Sanem asked what the conclusion to the investigation was. Can told her it was ruled self-defense. Sanem smiled and said thank goodness. She told Can if it had gone the other way, she was going to have Omer's back. Can said he would have had his back as well. The man saved his family and he would fight until the end for that man.

Sanem sat up in bed and threw herself into her husband's arms. She kissed his cheek and told him she did the right thing by marrying him. She told him her love grows more and more everyday for him. Can embraced her back and asked if she was feeling better today. Sanem said she felt much better after talking to Omer last night. She told her husband thank you for calling him and inviting him over. Can told her he would do anything for her. He told Sanem she was everything to him and he would not know what to do without her. They got up and got dressed. Once done, they left the hotel in search of food. Sanem wanted pizza and Can was alright with that. They entered a pizzeria and placed their order. A waitress brought them their drinks. Sanem asked Can if they were going home today. Can said the cleaning crew was there now, but they may need to replace the carpet in the bedroom. He was waiting to hear from the owner of the cleaning company. Sanem said she missed her home and she missed her kids. Can said he did too. Can asked her if she wanted to go pick the kids up after they ate and spend the day with them. He told her there was a small carnival on the boardwalk they could take them too. Sanem thought that was an awesome idea.

Sanem called her mother and told her they would be picking the kids up in a little while. Mevkibe told her she would have them ready. Sanem told her mother thanks for keeping them. Mevkibe told her no thanks was needed. She asked how Sanem was. Sanem told her mother she was doing well considering everything that happened. She told her mother that Can was taking very good care of her. Mevkibe told her she knew Can was a good man. Sanem told her mother she loved her and would see her soon. Sanem got off the phone and their pizza was ready. Can and Sanem dived into their pizza. Sanem smiled and told her husband that her mother said he was a good man. Can looked away embarrassed. Sanem told him not to be embarrassed. He was a good man. Can said he takes care of his family like a man is suppose too. He doesn't like when people say he is a good man. Sanem just stared at Can. She asked her husband if he ever got much praise growing up. Can looked at her and said not really. He said his dad was always working and his mother did a disappearing act. All he had was Metin and Akif. Sanem reached across the table and took his hands. She told Can he was a wonderful husband and father. She couldn't ask for a better man to be her husband...her other half...her everything. She told him to never forget that. Can smiled and said he wouldn't.

They went back to the hotel and packed up their things and checked out. Soon they were on the road to pick up their kids. They arrived at Mevkibe and Nihat's house. Their kids were waiting for them. Mevkibe and Nihat greeted them both with hugs and kisses. After visiting for a few minutes, they hit the road and headed to the boardwalk. As soon as the kids saw the carnival, they got very excited. Can parked his truck and they headed over to the carnival. The kids immediately began riding the rides. Can and Sanem stood there and watched their children having fun. Can reached over and grabbed her hand. He laced his fingers through hers. Sanem looked at him and smiled. Sanem felt somebody's eyes on her and she looked around. Ceyda was standing not far away with her daughter Jasmine. She was shooting daggers at Sanem. Can watched Sanem's smile fade and asked her what was wrong. Sanem told him Ceyda was here with her demon child. Can looked around and spotted her. She was staring at Sanem with such hate. When Ceyda realized Can was looking at her, she smiled and waved to him. Can turned away and never acknowledged her.

Sanem said she hoped Jasmine didn't spoil Deniz's fun. Can told her they wouldn't let that happen. They would keep Deniz in their sight at all times. Sanem said OK. When the kids got off the ride, they ran to another ride and got on. Can and Sanem followed them. Sanem kept her eyes open for Ceyda or Jasmine. So far, everything was working out with no problems. Sanem just hoped it stayed that way. The kids were having the time of their lives. When they got this ride, they all complained of being thirsty. Sanem took them to a table to rest while Can went to get them all lemonade. The kids were jabbering a mile a minute. Deniz got quiet all of a sudden and Sanem asked what was wrong. Deniz said Jasmine was over there with her mother just staring at her with a dirty look. Sanem turned around and looked. Ceyda and Jasmine were both staring at them. Sanem told Deniz to ignore her and not to let her spoil her fun. Ates said he could go bust her in the mouth if Deniz wanted him too. Sanem told him absolutely not. Boys do not hit girls no matter what. Ates told her he understood.

Sanem continued looking over at Ceyda and Jasmine. This woman and her kid were on her last nerve. Sanem saw Can walking towards Ceyda with his arms full of lemonade. Sanem didn't know what Can said to her, but she grabbed her daughter's hand, gave one last look at Sanem and then they walked away. Can made his way to their table with a smile on his face. Can gave everyone a lemonade and sat down beside Sanem. He leaned over and gave her a quick kiss. He told her the problem was solved against her lips so the kids would not hear him. Sanem told him he would explain later. Can nodded at her. Can asked the kids how the lemonade was. The kids said it was good. They asked if they could go ride some more. Can told them yes. Can and Sanem followed behind them. Can's cell phone rand and it was the owner of the cleaning company. She told Can the carpet needed replaced, but it was already taken care of. They could be back in their house within the hour. Can thanked her. Can told Sanem their house would be ready in about an hour. Sanem said thank goodness. She asked Can what he said to Ceyda. Can smiled and said he told her if she continued staring at his wife and child, he would go over to the policeman standing there and let him know his family was being threatened. He told her to have a nice day and goodbye. Sanem started laughing. Can shrugged and said it worked. Sanem gave her husband a quick kiss. She told him he was her knight in shining armor. Can kissed her deeply and told her to never forget that.
