CAN TAKES CARE OF SANEM

The next morning, Sanem got released to go home. She was doing well. Her incision still hurt, but the doctor said it would for a while. She would have to come back in 3 weeks to have the staples removed. The nurse pushed Sanem to the front door of the hospital, while Can went to get his truck. He pulled up in front of the hospital, jumped out of his truck and went around to help Sanem in. He ended up picking her up in his arms and sitting her down on the passenger seat. Sanem told him she could walk. Can said why walk, when she has him. He said he may never let her walk again. Sanem laughed. She told him to please don't make her laugh. It hurts right now to laugh. Can said yes, dear. He drove her back to their home. Can loved thinking of it as their home, when in reality it was his childhood home. The home where him, Emre, his mom and his dad lived. It was the home he lived in when his mother took and left him. But now, he was making new memories with Sanem and their 3 children. He pulled into the driveway. Can jumped out and came around to her door. He opened her door and picked her up once again. Sanem said Can, please let me walk. Can said no can do. He will let her walk in a few days. Until then, she was stuck in his arms. Sanem kissed his cheek and told him there was no place she would rather be.

They entered the house and Can put her down on the couch. Mihriban and Aziz were there waiting for them. Sanem asked where her children were. Mihriban told her that her mother, Mevkibe and father, Nihat came and got them earlier. They said she needed a few days of rest, so they would keep the kids for a little while. Sanem told Mihriban she missed her children and wanted to see them. Can asked Sanem if she wanted him to go get them. Sanem said he better not. It would upset her parents and it was probably a good idea to leave them there. Sanem realized she couldn't do much with her kids in the shape she was in; especially Deniz and Atesh. They were constantly on the go. Sanem said she would call her mother in a few so she could at least talk to the kids. Can said OK. Mihriban and Aziz left a few minutes later. Can sat down on the couch with his wife. He said alone at last. Sanem said funny, Can. It isn't like we can do anything anyway. Can said sure we can. We can watch a movie, play cards, read. Sanem tried not to laugh, but she did anyway. Can wrapped his arms around his wife and l kissed her cheek. Can told her she was never to scare him like this again. He said from now on, he didn't care if it was a paper cut, she was going to the hospital. Sanem said yes, sir.

A little later, Can brought Sanem some lunch. He made her some soup and a sandwich. He also brewed her some tea. He sat the tray down on the coffee table. She smiled at her husband and told him he was spoiling her. Can said it was his favorite pastime. He enjoyed spoiling the woman he loved. He told her she deserved to be spoiled and pampered. She looked at him with tears in her eyes and asked what she would ever do without him. Can kissed her lips and told her she did not need to worry about that because she would never be without him. Sanem told him she loved him so much. Can said he loved her so much too. Sanem ate her lunch and drank her tea. Can asked her if wanted to take a shower soon. Sanem said yes please. She felt nasty and she wanted to wash her hair. Can told her he would go get everything ready and come back for her. Sanem said ok.

Can laid out some clean pajamas for Sanem. He got towels and washcloths. He retrieved her shampoo, conditioner and her special body wash. He laid out her toothbrush and toothpaste. He started the shower so the water could warm up. He went back to the couch to retrieve Sanem. He asked her if she was ready. Sanem told him yes. Can bent down and picked her up. He carried her to the bathroom and set her down. He helped her removed her clothes. He applied the waterproof binder to the incision area and helped her into the shower. Can stripped off his clothes and climbed in behind her. Sanem giggled and asked what he was doing. Can said it was easier just to get in with her. He could reach more places when he washed her. He said besides, he could get his shower done while in here with her. Sanem giggled and told him very smart. Can helped Sanem wash and condition her hair. He applied her body wash to the cloth and washed his wife's body. He helped her rinse. He told Sanem it was his turn. Sanem asked if he needed help. Can said no. He was not allowing her to lift a finger to do anything for a few days. He washed his hair and body then he rinsed. Can shut off the shower and stepped out. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist. He grabbed another towel and wrapped Sanem in it. He walked her into the bedroom. Can dried off quickly and put on shorts and a t-shirt. He helped Sanem dry off and helped her into her pajamas. He towel dried her hair.

Can picked her up and carried her back to the living area. He sat her down on the couch. He asked her if he could brush her hair. Sanem told him of course. Can gently brushed his wife's hair out. He would stop and run his fingers through it. He told Sanem he was checking for tangles, but Sanem knew better. When he was done with her hair, he applied her special cream to her shoulders and neck area. He stuck his face in her neck and inhaled. He loved the smell of his wife. It was the very first thing he noticed about her. Sanem asked him what he was doing. Can smiled and told her he was making sure the cream had not gone bad. Sanem play smacked him and told him he was so full of it. Can told her he couldn't help it. He loved her smell....he loved her hair....he loved her skin....he loved her lips. He said actually there isn't anything about her he didn't love. He gave her a quick kiss on the lips. He asked her if she was hungry. Sanem told him I am always hungry. Can asked her how about a pizza. Sanem said that sounds heavenly. Can called and ordered a couple pizzas. He asked if she wanted to watch movie or something. Sanem said a movie sounded good. Can looked through their collection of movies and picked out one he knew Sanem would love. He popped in the DVD player. He sat back on the couch with his wife in his arms while he waited for the pizzas to get there.
