THE KIDS MEET THE JOLLY GREEN GIANT

The next day, Can and Sanem waited until the bus picked the kids up. Deniz turned around and told them not to forget there was karate lessons tonight. Sanem told her they wouldn't and threw her a kiss. Can and Sanem got into the truck and headed to the agency. Once they arrived, they headed to their office. There was a huge bouquet of roses sitting on Sanem's desk. She looked at Can and he said he never sent them. Sanem removed the card, read it and immediately dropped the card on the floor. Can ran over and picked the card up. It read Soon, my love. Can was fuming. He exited the office and asked who delivered the flowers to Sanem's desk. Everyone said not them. Can stormed back into the office and called the florist shop where the flowers came from. He asked them who bought the bouquet of roses this morning. A woman said a man came in and paid cash for them. He said he would deliver them himself. Can ran to the security office to review the cameras. A man entered their office around 30 minutes ago, wearing a long coat and a hat. He was carrying the roses. He exited the office a few minutes later and looked straight into the camera....it was Hakan. Can immediately called the police. The police arrived and went through the video surveillance cameras.

The police searched the premises and around outside, but Hakan was long gone. Can returned to his office and found Sanem looking out the window. She had not even removed her coat. Can observed her trembling. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She flinched at first and then she realized it was Can. She leaned back against him. Can placed his hands over her swollen abdomen. He told her he would protect her and their unborn son with his life if he had too. Sanem told him she knew this. She just hopes it doesn't come to that. He kissed her cheek. He told her everything would be fine. Sanem asked him if it was Hakan that sent the flowers. Can told her it was. He delivered them himself. Hakan was seen on camera. Sanem trembled even more. She said he was here. He was in their office. Can turned her around to face him. He put his hands against her cheeks. He looked her straight in the eyes and told her Hakan would not get near her. He asked if she understood this. Sanem nodded, but she was scared; not so much for herself, but for her unborn son.

Can decided to order lunch in for him and Sanem. He went to fetch them some tea at the coffee station. While he was gone, Sanem's office phone rang. She answered it and heard a man ask if she liked her flowers. Sanem asked him what he wanted. Hakan said he wanted her. She was his and always had been. Sanem told him she was married to the only man she has ever loved and was carrying his unborn son. They were happily married with 3 children at home. Hakan sounded angry when he said those kids should have been mine; that unborn child should have been mine. He told her they would be a happy soon enough. Sanem yelled at him to leave her alone. Can walked into the room and grabbed the phone from Sanem. He told Hakan if he came near his wife or kids, he would end him. Hakan just laughed and hung up the phone. Can wanted to know what Hakan said to her. Sanem repeated everything that was said. Can wanted to kill him with his bare hands. Can told Sanem he would be right back. Once he left the room, he called Metin. He told Metin everything that was going on. Metin asked how he could help. He told Metin he needed a private investigator to track down this psycho and he wanted bodyguards for Sanem and his kids. He asked Metin if he could set all that up? Metin said he would start on it now. Can told him thanks and he owes him big time.

Can went back to his office. Sanem was trying to get some work done. He told Sanem he needed to talk to her. Sanem said OK. Can told her he was having Metin hire a private investigator to track down Hakan. Sanem was OK with that. Can told her she may not be OK with the next thing he was going to say. Sanem looked at her husband ad asked what he did. Can said Metin was hiring personal bodyguards for her and the kids. Sanem asked if that was really necessary. Can said he felt it was. Sanem told him she hated her private space invaded and the bodyguards would end up scaring the kids. Can said not if the kids didn't know. The bodyguard would follow the bus to school, wait outside for school to dismiss and then follow the bus home. Sanem asked what about her. Can said considering she would have him with her at all times, the bodyguard would follow from afar and keep an eye on things. He told Sanem when it was all set up, he would have her there with him to ask questions. Sanem said OK.

A few hours later, Metin arrived with an army of men. Can shook his hand and hugged him when he saw him. Metin introduced the private investigator. His name was Mr. Necmi. Mr. Necmi introduced his team of bodyguards. The kids' bodyguards would be Cinar and Yalin. Sanem's bodyguard, who was as big as a house, was Omer. Mr. Necmi wanted everything Can had on Hakan. Can had already started a dossier on the man. He handed it to Can. Mr. Necmi asked what they expected of the bodyguards. Can asked what he suggested. He wanted his family protected at all times at any cost. Mr. Necmi suggested that Cinar and Yalin drive the kids to and from school, at least until this psycho was caught. They would stay outside the school while the children were attending class. Can and Sanem were OK with that. Sanem asked what about Omer. Mr. Necmi said since Sanem seemed to be the target, he would prefer Omer be close to her at all times. Sanem just stared at the man. Sanem asked all times? Mr. Necmi smiled and said of course, not all times. He would prefer Omer stay at their house until this was resolved. Can said they had an office that could be turned into a bedroom. Omer said that was not necessary. He rarely slept. He told them the couch would be fine for catnaps so he could re-energize. Can said OK. Mr. Necmi said Omer would travel to work with them and wait at the agency until the workday was over. He would then travel back home with them. Can and Sanem said that was fine.

Can mentioned that the kids had karate lessons twice a week and tonight was their second lesson. Mr. Necmi smiled and said that was an excellent idea. He said kids should learn some sort of self defense and discipline. Can agreed. Mr. Necmi said Omer would accompany them to karate class tonight. Can nodded. Mr. Necmi suggested to Can to call the school to give them a heads up on what was going on and to let them know Cinar and Yalin would be picking the kids up from school. He will have Cinar and Yalin go to the school early so the kids could meet them. Can immediately called the school. The school was OK with it, as long as the gentlemen brought their identifications and did not disrupt the school. Can told the principal it would not be a problem. The principal said she would keep them in her prayers. Can told her thank you. Can told Mr. Necmi it would not be a problem with the school. Can told him he would have keys made tonight on his way home so the bodyguards would be able to get in and out of the house. Mr. Necmi said it was a pleasure and he would start work on investigating Mr. Hakan. Cinar and Yalin left to go to the school. Omer sat on the couch in Can and Sanem's office. Can gave Metin a hug and thanked him for all his help. Metin told him anything for his family.

Sanem asked Omer if he would like some tea or coffee. Omer said coffee would be nice. Can told her if would go get it. Sanem said OK. Can came back with two teas and a coffee. Omer thanked him. Sanem told her husband thank you, love. Can smiled and told her anytime. At the end of the day, Can, Sanem and Omer got in the truck and headed home. Can stopped at a hardware store to get some keys to the house made. He then hopped back in the truck and headed home. Cinar and Yalin were already in the driveway when they pulled in. Their kids had made it home safe and sound. Can was sure the kids had a lot of questions and he was prepared to answer each and every one of them. Can gave Cinar and Yalin a copy of the key to the house. Cinar and Yalin bid them goodbye. Can, Sanem, Omer and the kids entered the house. The kids kept looking at Omer like he was some sort of Jolly Green Giant. Can told everyone to sit in the living room. Can told his kids he wanted to explain what was going on and what was going to happen.
