LOOSING HOPE

CAN AND SANEM AGREE ON A DATE NIGHT

After dinner, Can drove Deniz to Dhyana's house so she could spend the weekend with her best friend. Sanem got the other kids bathed and ready for bed. Omer took his bottle and fell right to sleep. After the kids were in bed, Sanem cleaned up the kitchen and made herself a cup of tea. She sat down in the living area and turned the television on. She waited for Can to come back home. Soon, Can arrived home. Sanem asked him what took him so long. Can smiled and told her he was talking to Omer, Dhyana's father. Can reminded her that they have been friends for a long time. Sanem laughed and told him he was worse than a woman. Can asked her what she meant by that. Sanem told him that men think all women do is talk and gossip. He just proved to her that men can talk and gossip as well. Can told her she was so not funny. Sanem grabbed his face and pulled him down for a kiss. Sanem looked at her husband and told him he loved her anyway. Can told her he did....faults and all. Sanem glared at him and told him she was perfect and had no faults. Can smiled and told her if it made her happy believing that, then go for it. Sanem play smacked him on the arm and told him he was mean. She stood up but Can pulled her down on his lap. He wrapped his arms around his beautiful wife and buried his face in her neck. He told her he was playing with her. He started kissing, nibbling and biting her neck. Sanem started moaning. Can picked her up in his arms and carried her to their bedroom. He kicked the door shut. He made love to his beautiful wife until the early morning hours.

The next morning, Sanem awoke before Can and gently got out of bed. She went into the kitchen and made herself a cup of tea. She went out on the balcony to breathe the fresh air. She sat and watched a squirrel run up the side of a tree and then run back down. Sanem could not help but smile at the little squirrel. He seemed confused and could not decide which way to run. Sanem heard the balcony door open and Can came outside. He sat down beside her. He looked sleepy and he could not look more adorable then he did at that moment. She said good morning, handsome. Can gave her a quick kiss and told her good morning, beautiful. Can grabbed her tea and took a big drink. Can smiled at her and said delicious. Can told her he thinks he found the company who is willing to buy her creams, perfumes and lotions. They are even willing to let the agency do the advertising for it. Sanem smiled and told him that was great. Can told her she would have to come into the agency Monday morning to meet with this company. Sanem said she definitely would. She threw her arms around Can and embraced him. She thanked him for taking care of everything. Can told her he would do anything for her.

They heard footsteps running through the house. Yildiz and Ates opened the balcony door. They told their parents that they were hungry. Can asked them if they wanted his famous pancakes with chocolate sauce. The kids yelled yes. Can got up and headed to the kitchen. He started preparing his famous pancakes. He heard Omer let out a yell from his crib. Sanem went to get Omer. She saw changed his diaper and clothes. She bought him into the kitchen to get his bottle. Can gave his son a quick kiss. Sanem took him into the living area and fed him his bottle. When he was done, Sanem burped him and placed him in his playpen. She went into the kitchen to see if Can needed any help. He had everything done by the time she walked into the kitchen. Yildiz and Ates were scarfing down their pancakes. Can was standing against the kitchen counter drinking a cup of tea. Sanem asked him if he had eaten already. He told her no. He was waiting for her to join him. Can made him and Sanem plates of pancakes. Can cut up strawberries for Sanem's pancakes. They both sat down to eat their breakfast.

Can asked her what she wanted to do today. Sanem said she really needed to go to the grocery store. Sanem told Can she could ask Mihriban and Aziz to come over later and stay with the kids. Can told her that sounded like a good idea. The kids don't get to see them very often. Can told her he would take her to the store and maybe they could have lunch out together. Sanem smiled and said OK. Sanem called Mihriban and asked if she could come sit with the kids while her and Can run a few errands. Mihriban told her absolutely. Sanem went and made all the beds and started some laundry. Can cleaned up the kitchen. Yildiz and Ates went to get dressed for the day. Sanem took Omer and changed his diaper. She was blowing raspberries on his bare belly. He was giggling. Sanem put him in his swing to swing a while. He loved his swing, just like the other three kids loved it.

Soon, Mihriban and Aziz arrived to watch the kids. Can and Sanem got in the truck and headed to the grocery store. They got everything Sanem needed from the grocery store. They paid and then Can loaded it all in the truck. They then headed to grab lunch. They had lunch in a beautiful little restaurant. Can told her they needed to do this more often. Just the two of them. Sanem smiled and agreed. Can suggested a date night once a week for the two of them. Sanem asked if he was getting bored with his life already. Can told her of course he wasn't. He just liked spending time alone with his one and only. He admitted that he loved his life and was the luckiest man in the world. He had a gorgeous wife and 4 wonderful children. He couldn't think of a single thing more he could ever want. Sanem smiled at him. She told him she felt the same way. Can asked her if a date night once a week sounded good to her. Sanem told him it did sound good.

Soon, they were driving back home. Sanem helped Can carry the groceries into the house. It took a few trips. When they entered the house, Yildiz and Ates were yelling about going to Grandpa Aziz and Grandma Mihriban's house for the night. Sanem laughed at her two children and told them that was up to their grandparents. Yildiz told her mom it was Grandpa's idea. Sanem told her it was fine. Mihriban had put Omer down for his afternoon nap after he was fed his bottle. Yildiz and Ates went to pack an overnight bag. Sanem asked Mihriban if she was sure it was OK for the kids to stay over tonight. Mihriban told her of course. They loved spending time with the kids. Sanem thank her and gave her a hug and kiss. Can was on the balcony talking to his dad. Aziz asked his son if everything was good in his life. Can smiled at his dad and told him he could not be happier. Aziz told him he was glad. He was also glad he finally got grand-kids to spoil rotten. Can laughed at his dad. Aziz told his son he often prayed that his son would find happiness and a woman to love. He was so happy Can found Sanem. He told Can that if he died tomorrow, he would die a happy man because his lions (Emre and Can) were both happy and content with their life. Can told him not to talk like that. He was not dying tomorrow. His family still needed him and his wisdom. Can embraced his dad.

Soon, Mihriban, Aziz, Yildiz and Ates headed out. Sanem and Can kissed both of their children goodbye. Can and Sanem headed back inside. They finished putting the groceries away and then sat in the living area. Can was stretched out on the couch with Sanem between his legs. Her back was against his chest and he had his arms wrapped around her. They were watching a documentary on television and Sanem fell asleep against her husband's chest.
