ATES GETS A CAST

The next day at the agency, Can and Sanem were determined to finish the animal shelter campaign so they could get it out there to the community. With the help of their team, they had it completed by the end of the day. Can called the shelter director and asked if she could come into the office the next day so she could approve it. The director said absolutely. Can and Sanem called it a day and picked up the kids from the day care. They headed home. Can suggested they fire up the grill and cook outside tonight. Sanem readily agreed. Sanem got the kids into the house. Chi Chi met them at the door. He was so happy to see the kids. He was licking and jumping all over the kids. Sanem went to the kitchen and started brewing tea for her and Can. The kids went outside to play in the yard with Chi Chi. Sanem poured the kids some juice to go with their dinner. Can was making kebabs on the grill. Sanem decided to cut up some fruit for the kids to go with their dinner. Sanem decided they would eat out on the balcony, so Sanem set the table out there. It was to beautiful of a day to eat inside.

Once the kebobs were done, Sanem called the kids to the table. Once everyone was seated, they dived into their food. The kids chattered about daycare and Can and Sanem listened intently to their chatter. Yildiz was trying to be sneaky and was giving Chi Chi pieces of her meat from the kebab. Can and Sanem didn't say anything. They knew how much she hated meat. She did eat her vegetables and fruit. Once dinner was done, the kids went back to play in the yard. Can and Sanem cleaned up. They then went and sat on the balcony to watch the kids play. Can had his arm around Sanem's shoulders and she was leaning against him. Sanem asked him if he thought the shelter director would like their campaign. Can told her of course. Can said it was an awesome campaign. Can told her it would bring awareness to the animal shelter and help them a great deal. Sanem said she could not wait until tomorrow to show the campaign to the director.

The next morning at the agency, the shelter director arrived. Can and Sanem showed her the campaign and she loved it. She had tears in her eyes when she thanked Can and Sanem. After she left, Can embraced Sanem and told her they could begin advertising the campaign. Emre and Leyla walked in with their new pet, Phoenix. He was a Boston terrier/chihuahua mix. He was pure white and so tiny. Sanem just had to hold him. Phoenix gave her kisses and Sanem immediately fell in love. Some employees came up to meet Phoenix and told of their visit to the animal shelter. Every employee that went came home with a lifelong friend. Sanem was so happy that more animals got adopted. Can told Sanem it was already working. His goal was to get all the animals there adopted to good homes and they were off to a great start.

Can and Sanem returned to their office so Can could get the advertising out there for the animal shelter. Sanem started looking over their next campaign. It was a campaign about hair products. Sanem thought this should be an easy campaign. Can hung up the phone and smiled at Sanem. He said the advertising would start once they received all the information. Can said he would drop it off to them on their way home later. Sanem said great! She told Can their next campaign was on hair products. Can told her that was her territory. He washes and conditions his hair and that's it. Sanem laughed and told him it would be an easy campaign. Can said for her maybe, but not for a man who doesn't pay much attention to his hair. Sanem told him he would help her with the campaign. Can said fine. It was her funeral.

When the workday ended, Can and Sanem picked up the triplets. Can drove over to the television station to drop off the video and pictures for the animal shelter advertisement. They told Can they would start running it tomorrow morning. Can shook his hand and said thank you. He got back in the truck and they stopped for pizza on the way home. The kids were excited to have pizza for dinner. Sanem was actually excited too. She loved pizza. She especially loved it when Can fed her. When they got home, Can helped the kids out of the truck and Sanem carried the pizza in. She asked the kids if they wanted to eat inside or outside on the balcony. They all wanted to eat outside. Sanem set the table and poured juice for the kids. She brewed tea for her and Can.

Yildiz was picking the pepperoni off and feeding it to Chi Chi. Sanem and Can had to hide a smile over what she was doing. She didn't think anyone could see her. Once the kids got their bellies full, they went in the yard to play with Chi Chi. Can collected the dishes and went inside to wash them. Sanem took the leftover pizza and put it in the fridge. They went back outside to sit on the balcony. Can sat down and pulled Sanem onto his lap. He smiled and said hello, my beautiful wife. She said hello, my handsome husband. Can leaned in and gave her a deep kiss. Sanem pulled back and said they could finish this later. They had kids to watch. Can laughed and said OK. All of a sudden, Chi Chi started barking hysterically. Can and Sanem stood up to see what was wrong. Their son, Ates was on the ground crying. Can and Sanem ran down the steps to see what was wrong. Can knew immediately that his little arm was broken. Sanem asked the girls what happened. They said Ates was trying to climb that big tree and he fell. Can called his dad and Mihriban to come sit with the girls so they could take Atesh to the hospital. They arrived in no time. Can and Sanem drove Ates to the local hospital. After x-rays, it was concluded that he indeed broke his left arm. He was put in a cast to help reset the bone. He would have to wear it for about 6 weeks. He could not get the cast wet, so a waterproof cover was sent home for bath times.

All the way home, Ates was gloating over his cast. He just thought it was the best thing ever. Sanem looked at Can and told him this boy was going to be the death of her. Can laughed and said he was just like his daddy. Once they got home, Ate was showing his cast off to his sisters and his mama Mihriban and papa Aziz. Deniz told her parents she wanted a cast. Sanem said absolutely not. After the kids were bathed and tucked in for the night, Sanem needed a glass of wine. Can poured her a glass and he poured himself a glass of whiskey. Sanem took a sip and said she really needed this. Can told her welcome to parenthood. He told her if Ates was really like him, then this was just the beginning. Sanem play smacked him and told him to hush his mouth. Can put their drinks down and told her there was something they were supposed to finish later. He asked if she remembered. Sanem played dumb. She said let me see....dishes? Can said no. She said....laundry? Can said no and he moved closer. Sanem said....pack our lunches for tomorrow? Can rolled his eyes at her. By this time, he was up against her. He bent down and kissed her deeply. Sanem said now I remember. She grabbed Can's hand and led him to their bedroom.
