Nobody Survives

Ant checked the heat in the charcoal pit while he waited for the person on the other end to pick up the call. A smile grows on his face as it got attended.

Dec: "Hello husband"

Ant: "Hello to you too. Sorry, I didn't see your call...was-"

Dec: "Busy with something more important than your husband?"

Ant: "Busy with roasting something which is more important than me for my husband!"

Dec: "Barbecue?!!!"

Ant laughs "Yes baby, I did see your call but it got cut before I could attend it"

Dec laughs "I was with the producer when you texted...I thought you must be sleeping when you didn't attend the call"

Ant: "Nah, not without my Declan bear near me...how did it go then?"

Dec: "It went well, but eh..."

Ant's heart skips a beat "What? Did something happen?"

Dec laughs "No Anth...he wants to shoot most of the film here in LA."

Ant sighs relieved

Dec: "You worry too much Ant"

Ant: "I only have you to worry about, and you my man always do a good job in keeping it so"

Dec: "Shut up"

Ant:  "So, shooting in LA. What's the matter?"

Dec: "Eh...away from you..."

Ant sighs, already knowing that's what Dec would say.

Ant: "We will find way Declan...how is the story though?"

Dec: "Honestly? It's brilliant...I have the script with me...I want your advice-"

Ant: "I am a businessman baby"

Dec: "And an artist, creator, director and-"

Ant: "Okay, okay, I will. I don't want my head to grow bigger, if you know what I mean"

Dec laughs "Aren't you a cutie"

Suddenly Ant hears Robbie shouting "Is it Dec?"

Ant: "Yup. I am putting the phone on speaker, baby"

Robbie: "Hai Ant's baby, how long till you reach here?"

Dec giggles "Dunno, half an hour maybe"

David: "You better rush before I finish Ant's special lamb roast"

Dec: "Gonna smash your face in when I come back for even saying that, David!"

Ali: "We might not get another chance if he becomes a famous star, you know"

Dec: "Very funny, Ali"

Robbie: "We miss you here. It's not fun without you"

Dec laughs "I know that. I will be there soon...meanwhile ask David to stop annoying my husband. He has his boyfriend to do so"

David: "Can't help it"

Ant shakes his head and switches it back to handset "So, half an hour eh? What should I do until then?"

Dec: "Am I still on speaker?"

Ant: "Nope"

Dec: "How about you wait for me? I have something for you"

Ant: "The script?"

Dec: "Nope. Me"

Ant smiles lovingly "That's all I need in my life...lucky man, me"
