Monsters Never Change

As Richard rushes towards his car, Ant and Dec follow him concerned but are stopped halfway

Richard:  "I don't even know whether it's them-"

Ant: "We don't care. We need to know that they are safe! What's happening? What are you hiding from us? You told me you needed a sketch of his mother but I know that you have her photograph from those property documents. The former officer showed it to us! What is going on?!"

Richard: "I am not sure about many things. But we suspect that the reason why we could find her is that the one we are searching for is not her at all! I know this might be confusing to you and I will explain everything to you later! Now we need to find Tony, wherever he is"

Dec tugs Ant's hand in worry and climbs into the car ignoring Richard's concern.

Richard sighs heavily at the stubbornness and gets in before turning to them: "David and Stephen... keep calling them!" For the first time ever, I hope my instincts are wrong.

A few minutes away, in the dimly lit parking lot of the shopping mall, David pulls Stephen towards the daylight as they ran up to the shop they have just escaped from.

Reaching the floor it was on, Stephen felt his knees buckling seeing the place sealed and surrounded by cops. They run towards the nearest officer while David tried to connect to Andrew's cellphone but in vain.

David: "I can't reach him"

Stephen: "I can't reach him either. His phone is busy-"

Suddenly his phone rings and relief floods inside him as he sees Ant's name.

David: "Ant-"

Ant: "David! Where are you?! Are you alright?! Is Tony safe?! Is he with you?!"

David hesitates a bit at that, prompting Stephen to grab the phone from him.

Stephen: "Ant... I need you to listen to me calmly okay? We were in a shop at the nearby mall and suddenly someone started shooting at us! David and I escaped through the fire exit but Andrew and Tony are still inside- "

A horrified gasp comes out of Ant as Stephen's words blurred into a distance Tony...

 Ant's silence was the answer Richard was looking for and he takes the phone from Ant :"Have the cops surrounded the shop?"

Stephen was taken aback by the new voice but he still responds: "Ye-ah! The entrance is blocked! We got out through the fire escape but Andrew and Tony didn't come out. They are stuck inside!"

Richard's eyes widened at that and he pins the two people behind him with an angry glare "Tony is with Andrew?!"

Ant bares his teeth at the distrust in those words while Dec shook his head Andrew wouldn't do that

Richard was further annoyed by that "We are on our way. Don't hang up the call!" he snaps

He then returns the phone to Ant and takes his own phone to dial someone.

Richard: "You guys reached the site?... How's the situation? Did they ask for any ransom? Did you use thermal sensors?... walking around? What are they searching for? Is there a kid in there? Are you sure there isn't? Fire brigade?! okay, okay... keep me updated!"

Dec: "Fire?! what is it about the fire brigade?!"

Richard sighs and shakes his head "We would only know when we get there"

The ride to the mall was more excruciating than anything else for them and once they reach the place, Richard runs out of the car at lightning speed without waiting for the other two who are stopped by the cops.
