Chapter 4 - Trouble

Third Person P.O.V

Jungkook called Yogyeom immediately but his phone was switched off. Taehyung looked at his tensed face which was getting red by the time and asked confusedly,

- "Why is his phone switched off?"

- "Not switched off, there is a network problem in these mountain places. I have asked him to change the sim bit he didn't listen to me."

- "I don't understand, there are still 5 minutes left to start the bus. Then why the hell they started this much early? They didn't even check all the members were there or not!?"

- "I told you before, there is a problem in their management"

- "Anyways, now what?"

- "Will you go back to Seoul?"

- "No way, when i've decided once to visit Hallasan, I will go there. Otherwise my mind will go crazy."

- "Don't be stubborn. Think properly, it's a long way."

- "If I go back now, my father will never allow me in this kind of trips again. I won't go, I can't!" Taehyung kind of shouted saying that and breathed heavily.

Jungkook put his hands on his pocket and started thinking about something when Taehyung asked suddenly,

- "Can't we hire a bus and go?"

- "That's not possible because the bus costs 8-9 thousand wons. I have not that much money with me right now. I gave all the money to them while doing registration. We won't be able to contact with them before reaching Wando Ferry Stop because there is no network on the road."

Taehyung got surprised as he said,

- "This is expensive!"

- "Yeah, it's far away from Seoul and they take the money for up and down both. They will take the money even if you don't come back from the ferry stop."

- "I have only 2 thousand with me."

- "I have 4-5 thousand but that's not enough."

Taehyung got tensed. He confirmed his parents back at home that he won't return in the next 10 days and he had to see Hallasan at any cost.

But what will he do now?

He looked at Jungkook who was looking at some small pebbles, thinking hard. Jungkook said while thinking,

- "Are you sure you wanna go?"

- "Yaap. But how?"

- "I will see about that but think again."

- "100% sure."

- "Allright, come with me."

Jungkook started to walk towards the bus stand. It took them only 2minutes to get there. There were a lot of local taxis beside the bus stand. Jungkook asked a thin looking man standing outside at the taxi stop,

- "Umm...hello. We want to go Wando Ferry Stop. We need a taxi. Can you drive us there?"

The man looked at Jungkook from head to toe cheweing something amd then he looked at Taehyung in the same way but that seemed like checking out to Taehyung. Then he said irritably,

- "Talk to our manager." 

Jungkook started looking for the manager. After a minute he found the manager who was a man with a bulky body and bald head, he was wearing some oversized shirt and loose pants. Long beards were covering his double chins. Taehyung thought him as some 80's rock stars though they probably wouldn't be that fat. Jungkook asked to that big fatty man,

- "Hello, I want to go Wando Ferry stop. I need one taxi."

The man lazily looked at Jungkook as he said in his deep drunk voice though he was not drunk,

- "We used to go only Wando-gun."

- "Please, our bus left us here. We need to reach there before our ferry starts. We are in big trouble, if you don't help us then we will miss our ferry as well."

- "Why don't you understand man? It will be night by the time you reached there. Security will stop you in the middle of the road because it's risky for travellers to go there at night time. We have to come back tomorrow."

- "Take the money a little more and the driver can stay the night with us in our guest house at Wando Ferry Stop. We came here with 28 members."

The man thought for sometime and then said,

- "It will take 3500 won."

- "This much? How come? You go to Wando-gun only in 1500 won right?"

The man laughed loudly at Jungkook with his dirty teeth that seemed like a ghost's laught to Taehyung. The man said while laughing,

- "Look man, we aren't used to go that far. It's a local taxi not a bus and also it's very risky to drive a taxi in this snowy mountain roads. You guys are in trouble that's why i agreed."

- "Allright" Jungkook huffed and agreed to his condition.

The man called another boy saying,

- "Hey! Hanbin. Come here kid."

The thin looking small boy came toward them and stood right before the man. The man said looking at them,

- "Drive them to Wando Ferry Stop okay? Stay the night with'em and return tomorrow. You get it boy?"

Hanbin looked at Jungkook and Taehyung from head to toe like the earlier man and then said,

- "Boss, the roads are going to be  slippery after some time. Will it be right to take the taxi there? The oil will also be finished."

- "I told you specifically because of this condition. If you'll drive then i'll be tension free. Take one to two more gallons of oil with you."

- "Okay, when will they go?"

This time Jungkook said quickly,

- "We want to go now."

Hanbin said looking at him ,

- "Okay, come on!"

Taehyung was shocked when he sees Jungkook hugged that manager and said,

- "Thanks sir. You helped us a lot."

The manager couldn't even think of anything that he might have seemed just now. It is understandable to be very surprised. People like them seemed very dangerous to the travellers so this kind of gestures are the last thing they could imagine to happen to them.

Taehyung didn’t know why he felt so good. A smart boy like Jungkook hugged a manager who was wearing dirty garage clothes just to express his gratitude! There is no fear left in Taehyung anymore, even though some fear has worked for so long. With a man with such a big mind, you can not just only go to Wando Ferry Stop,

you can go too far!
