The males were blocking him. Jamie and Erica were pissed to say the least. And I was stunned. He looked like he aged well up close. But looking at him, I didn't feel the familiar butterflies and nervousness overwhelm me. But a growl from my Alpha mate set off a stampede in my belly.

"What are you doing here, George?" I questioned him. His name no longer garnered a smile from my lips, even after he used the nickname he always called me. Looking at him, I felt disgusted and pissed beyond any chance of redemption.

It clicked. I was feeling everyone's emotions.

His smile was gentle and dare I say, loving, but something about him just made me sick. His smile was almost too sweet, his eyes looked crazy in lust and he smelled weird.

Call me insane, but I for sure think I can smell the crazy off of him.

"I came for you. I thought you died. But you're here and more beautiful than the last time I saw you," his eyes roamed over my chest and hips lustfully, "I'm here to.."

A growl from Erica cut him off. "George, you have three seconds to leave or I'm cutting off your balls and serving it on a gold platter to my fiancé." She spat out. I saw her eyes that glowed like a night light.

His eyes widened before he laughed. His laugh was crazy and maniacal. "Aww, Erica. You're not mad that I disclosed our wonderful night together to him." His head nudged towards Mason.

Any feeling of admiration was thrown out the window. Mason snarled as did Nox. They didn't take lightly to the male who threatened the safety and emotions of their females. They looked like they were going to lunge at him but they stopped in in their tracks.

"Tsk tsk boys. Gotta be faster than that." He zipped to me in an instant and grabbed my hand.

The instant he did, I started seeing things. Memories, his memories, of me. I felt the way his face lit up when he saw me. How his heart sped up the first time I sat next to him. How his fingers twitched to hold my hand when I spoke to him. How he tried to sneak glances of me during classes. How much he desired my body as the years went by. How his feelings turned into obsession.

I gasped as I saw him lurking in the girls shower room as he peeped on me. How he followed me everywhere.

When I grasped my hand back, I felt something wrong. The people around me were still. Their eyes were panicked and furious but their bodies were frozen.

"Now that that's out of the way", he sat next to me and wrapped an arm around my waist, burying his face in my neck, "damn you smell good, sugar."

I tried to stand up but my body wouldn't cooperate. I looked back at him and fumed.

"What did you do?" My anger spilling from my lips.

"Compulsion. Isn't it lovely?" He said with a smug smile. He continued sniffing my neck. "You have no idea how long I've waited to do this." He leaned in to kiss me, but times slowed down. Everything froze. I looked around and saw my vision go black.

The only thing I could see was a light that was slowly getting bigger. It was like the pool again. It stopped right before me as I saw my reflection.

"What's happening?" I asked scared.

"It's time to remember. Remember everything." My reflection spoke but her words echoed off the walls and multiplied. The reflection turned into a ornately crafted door painted red. I looked back and saw George. It was either the door or him.

I grasped the knob and turned it before pulling open the door.

The memories I thought were lost came rushing back to me. One by one, like little needles and my brain was a pin cushion, before it was a steady rain of my past. All crashing into me and making remember all that was locked away in the deepest part of my mind.

My brain felt like it was about to explode. But when it stopped, I looked around before my eyes settled on the only thing in the dark room.

It was me. Floating. Sleeping. I walked up to my floating body and noticed the differences. She was taller than me. Her body covered in battle scars. Her skin glowing. Her hair had streaks of blue and her armour looked like it was made of scales reflecting the colours of the ocean. I smiled and stepped into her arms as we became one once again.

Jamie

I watched in horror as George walked over to Kiki. I swear I fought with everything I had but my body wouldn't move. It was like having another sleep paralysis episode. I saw him lean in for a kiss.

I was burning with rage. No woman should have to be put through this. I tried shifting around before I heard the sound of glass cracking. It was slow. Like someone was banging against it. I saw her mate turning around slowly, as if still held down but he was fighting against it. But the cracking sound wasn't coming from him.

I turned to Erica. Her eyes glowing yellow like neon lights. He canines poking out from her lips. It shocked me but the sound of cracking glass still continued. Not coming from her.

Then my eyes turned to my only friend left. Back to Kiki who had come back from the dead. Back from the land of magic she was royalty in for us. For her friends who became her family in this mortal world. But the cracking wasn't coming from her. I looked down at my skin to see it was cracking. It was cracking to reveal pale white light underneath. I screamed but nothing came out. I saw my skin crack even more, shards flying up to the ceiling.

And I was stuck.

But a blue light came into my peripheral vision. I looked at Kiara to see her body glow blue and streaks appear from the root of her hair to the tip. Her gorgeous hazel eyes lit up as she grabbed George and flung him to the far corner. She looked at me and smiled a sad smile.

"Phoebe. It's been too long." Her voice sounded like an echo. One deep and the other lighter, but surrounded by many more. She raised her hand and that was the last thing I saw before I passed out.
