"It better be. It's been five years."

I stared at her for a full minute before my mother's words echoed in my head.

"Time flows differently for us"

I felt my eyes tear up. 2 nights and one day in Alaktasia was 5 years on Earth. That's why everything changed.

"What happened to you guys? Where were you all this time? Why does it look like you haven't aged a day since you left?"

I collapsed into the sofa that was beside the door.

5 years.

"I'll tell you everything. But I want both you and Erica here. You both deserve to know." I said as I looked up at her with a pained look. I also needed to let this new info sink in.

She nodded. "I'll text her."

She picked up her phone, it was sleek and new.

"What kind of phone is that?"

She smirked. "iPhone X"

I nodded as she typed.

"She's on her way."

While Eric and I waited, Jamie went back to the bar. Apparently it was Friday and it would start to get busy. She went to help at the bar till another guy came in to start his shift.

I looked at my body guard. "What do you think of all this?"

He shrugged. "Makes sense. Since your parents are the ruling monarchs, they are extremely powerful. When you and your family left, it might have been a few years in the human world, but in Alaktasia, it was nearly a hundred. Wherever your parents are, the time there will go by slower. And in the other world, it goes by quickly."

My eyes widened. "So you're telling me that you're a hundred years old?!"

He gave me an amused smile. "Do you take me for a child? I'm 305. And I'm in my prime, for your information."

"Whatever you say grandpa" I retorted as I laughed at his sassy tone.

"How long do humans live?" He asked inquisitively.

"Around 70 to 80. You'd be lucky if you make it to 100, but by then you'd be frail and weak usually." Waving my hands as I explained.

It was his turn to be shocked. "Wow. When the humans were back in Alaktasia, they usually lived as long as their mates." He pondered, sitting next to me right before he got a devious smile. "With that knowledge, you can't call me old or grandpa because you are 240. So you are basically too old to logically be alive in this world."

Wow...Rude!

These people love dropping bombs on me, but I shook it off. I knew I was more than a hundred Alaktasian years old, but I didn't know my exact age.

I smiled mischievously at him. "I get that dudes are touchy about age and it's fine." I said as I pat his back comfortingly. "But I look amazing for a 240 year old woman." I flipped my hair dramatically. He chuckled at my actions.

His deep laughter sent the butterflies in my stomach on a rampage. I didn't even know butterflies could rampage!

I looked away to hide my blush, suddenly aware of how close he is to me.

"I-..." he started but was interrupted by the slamming open of the door and a flying sobbing/screaming mass that tackled me.
