Kiara
I looked at my friends and saw the rest of the club. This battle was going to need a better space and our magic would be too loud. We didn't need to attract the attention of mortals who would foolishly rush up here to try and either help or capture it on their phones. We needed a safe space. Even that disgusting creature, George.
I waved my hands to form a magic circle. One used for summoning in an emergency. I called forth the water portal. Water gates needed a large body of water to travel between realms and far distances. But a water portal, would take us to the nearest body of water in the same realm. It would be the easiest to use to sweep up my companions and whisk them away to the house.
It came forth, a bright blue glowing circle. Wide enough to walk through yet small enough to to fit a person at a time. It was necessary for it to be small otherwise the light would've stood out in the darkness of the club.
"Forgive me everyone, but we need to get out fast." I said as I pushed the portal to each and every person, letting it swallow them up as it went. One by one they disappeared, I opened its sister portal behind the air wall of the house. But when it came back to face me, I grabbed the discombobulated man as I shifted its other portal the the clearing where my mate and I first encountered the wolves.
I walked through, letting its cool mist greet my skin. Once I stepped out, I threw the party crasher far away from me as I could. I felt rage like I've never known before. I have met many men on battlefields, all who swore to do immoral things to me if they won. I made sure to let them rot in the forest where the crows and ravens can have their fill. I was more disappointed in myself for letting another man who was not the other half of my soul affect me.
But I understood. It was my soul calling for its mate. One who I couldn't see or touch or feel, but I knew was alive. My emotions attached to a man who was the closest thing to Nox. He was tall, and kind. He was mischievous yet loyal. His eyes shone bright whenever they'd see me and his presence brought great peace to me. But he was not my mate. My soul. My heart. He was a watered down comparison to everything Lenox was to me.
I heard him groan as he came to. I felt the familiar roar in the distance. He was coming for me. I knew that I had to finish this up before he got here. There will not be a body left to get rid of once he arrived.
"I have to thank you, mortal. Your disgusting nature has brought me back to where I am supposed to be. I am complete. and now, you will pay."
His eyes widened. Those blue eyes that I often thought about. They were filled with shock and fear before turning hard into eyes of rage. "You were supposed to be mine. I gave up everything for you to be mine. She promised that you'd be mine!"
He stood up and charged. "If you will not come willingly, then I will have to use force." For a Split second, I saw his eyes turn red and his fangs protrude.
A vampire. He has become undead.
I shifted my weight and met him head on. We went blow for blow, my training and newly regained self was more than prepared to take him down. every turn he tried to bite me while I effortlessly avoided them. He was sloppy, untrained and not ready for a fight with one who outmatched him in stature, power, and experience. Someone like me.
I caught a kick that was meant for my stomach, I brought my elbow down on it the fury of the divines. It cracked his knee cap as I pushed him off. By the rise of the hair on my neck, I knew that he was closer.
As my opponent tried to stand on his injured leg, I started another magic circle. I haven't fully regained my powers so I'd have to rely on magic circles for the next few days. I put my palms facing each other, parallel to the ground, an inch apart as I started to rotate them in different directions. I changed my stance so I could pull energy from the ground. I wasn't taking any chances on this newly turned vampire. My parents strategically chose this place call our home. There were many ley lines running under us. A few of them converged in the spot the house stood. They've been absorbing mana for many human years. Also to help aid my healing. I channeled it from the ground, to my feet and then through my body. The flow of mana here wasn't as strong as in Alaktasia but it would be enough to take this rascal down.
I continued rotating my flat palms until I saw the water collect around his body. I slammed my palms together and it instantly came crashing unto him. tightening against his body like a rope and rendering him immobile.
I felt the growl next to me, but I held up my hand to halt him. His fury poured forth like an overflowing river but I couldn't let him destroy George without extracting information from the latter first. He had a craze about him that didn't seat well with me. It was almost as if it was a disease that made him rabid. He was more beast than man. I would try to help him if I can but if he is beyond healing, then its in my mate's hands. He has the right to punish the ones who would harm me.
I turned to him to see him standing before me naked. Clothes torn from the shift but my eyes never left his. I walked closer to him, and pulled him towards me.
"Princess, you're back" he whispered softly as he hugged me. Holding on to me as if I was the last thing tethering him to this world. The only thing he would ever let tether him. As he buried his nose in my hair, I buried my face into his neck.
"And I'm here to stay, my love."
