Jamie

The funeral yesterday was another low blow for everyone. The suffering was too much and even Phoebe was inconsolable. Our training has been put on hold while she grieved for her children. I had only ever been around the Blood Moon pack. and for a pack with a creepy name, they were always nice and friendly.

But the Blue Moon pack...they made my blood boil. There was no doubt that the entire pack was fueled with hatred, enough to burn every member of Alpha Jameson's pack down to the ground. It was a new day and when training began, there was something different about the pack wolves...including Erica and Mason. their eyes were hard and their faces were stone. Everyone was training hard. Kia looked at me with a little bit of panic.

I could tell that she was feeling everything the wolves were feeling and she couldn't help but want to comfort them. It was the Luna in her shining through. But this was not her pack. At least not yet. Her words would not work on their hearts. although she can change how they feel, she wouldn't do that.

It was one of the stages of grieving...Anger...they had to feel it and go through it, but for now, it was making them stronger. Nox was right. It lit a fire in them.

"This doesn't feel right, Jay." Kia came up to me after dinner in my room.

"I know but there's nothing we can do about it," I responded.

She was pacing around my room like a fretful mother hen. She was always like this in high school. If anyone of us was going through something, she worried like there was no tomorrow.

I watched her for a bit as memories from high school flooded me. I grabbed her hand and sat her down next to me on my bed. I looked at her and thought back to when we first met. I thought she was an angel. She always stood up for what was right and she had a heart so big it could love even the most unloveable of people.

I used to have the biggest crush on her, but I found out early on that she likes guys...I was a bit sad but I respected her choice. I watched her swoon over George and all the One Direction guys...I still don't know why she listens to them. I hugged her to stop her consistent twitching. Ever since I talked with the moon, all my feelings and emotions have been slowly draining away. I feel myself becoming less...human.

But we had bigger things to worry about.

After a few minutes, she calmed down and then left to find her mate. The two sisters had moved into the pack hose to help with the training as well the healing. Rue held down the fort back at the King house.

Just as I closed my eyes to go to sleep, I felt the moon summon me. I took a deep breath and looked at the moon through my window, feeling my body fade from the mortal realm to her realm.

It was still dark and cold but I have long learned to deal with it. A little bit of power that radiates from my body helps to keep the chill away.

She came as usual. Walking on stars and her how was bright almost blinding. From a distance, she was gorgeous and focused. But as she came closer, her fury was coming off of her in waves and it knocked me to my knees.

"Jamie, I assume you know what you are here for?" Her voice was not the kind one I had become accustomed to. It was hard as stone and cold.

"You summoned me here to give me directions on the battle to come," I responded. I averted my eyes because her glow was furiously bright.

"Yes. Those who commit such atrocious acts are no longer my children and must be punished." Her anger lashed at my body like a cold blast of icy air. Without the energy I radiate off me, I think I would've gotten frostbite. I looked up at her and witnessed the murderous look in her eyes. She took me into her house, which resembled a cave but the walls looked to be made up of dark gems. It reflected the light coming off of her and lit up the room. We sat down in her home with looked way bigger then a cave inside should be...but I chalked it up to her magic.

We spent the whole night talking until it was time to go. With two more days to go, her plan was going to need a lot of energy and power to complete...and that's exactly what I set out to do.
