3rd Person POV

The kingdom of Litöw, a nation ruled by a monarchy, was originally founded by many races working together for their survival after the fall of the Valence empire. Although the king was human, it was generally accepted by its people since the foundation of the kingdom was led by a human. It was rich in resources and a safe haven for everyone who wanted to live peacefully.

Because of its natural terrain made up of mountains and rivers that only a few were daring enough to invade. Estfalia in the past was one of those foolish enough to do such a taxing campaign. However, the country was weak to begin with, and its economy, stagnant. Food shortages have always been a recurring issue, and its stance in races has only exacerbated the problem with more people seeking refuge and other countries refusing diplomatic relations between them for trade, enforcing their isolationism.

Much to their dismay, they had to be neighbors with Estfalia, a regional power and known for their imperialistic ambitions. After their victory against Estfalia in the last war, there was a period of peace for them while they continue subjugating the territories of what is now southern Estfalia and other countries couldn't be bothered because it was just plain difficult.

Their period of peace would be riddled with unrest from the populace due to their impoverished state that only got worse after the war. Internal strifes, strikes, the emergence of discrimination, you name it. It wasn't until king Litöw's father that sorted them out.

From a young age, his father has seen what it was like. Internal struggles, power struggles, and corruption and abuse of power. It wasn't until the assassination of his mother that ignited his will. When the spark of a civil war was about to be lit, he usurped the throne, much to his father's dismay but understood.

Once he took over the throne, as if on cue, a massive purge took place against all those who oppose and the corrupt, thanks to the help of the people he colluded with and planned for over the years. His proper use of cruelty paved the way to a brighter future.

But it was all in vain. His son, now King William Litöw, in his 20th year of ruling, had to deal with Estfalia. A country superior country with manpower, supplies, and experience that declared war against Litöw, a country finally succumbing to its weak economy and impoverishment and green soldiers with little to no combat experience that was no different to its populace other than receiving just a bit better lifestyle.

There was no hope in fending off an invasion and he knew that... his people knew that. So they decided to do as much damage to the Estfalians as possible and go out as someone who fought valiantly even to the bitter end.

As he resolved himself to their last act as an independent nation, a strange group of people appeared before them, being led by a very young man who was barely out of his childhood but he had the look of a dignified warrior alongside a woman similar of age with the same look alongside his advisor Viscount Hörst. Their subordinates were that of those who fought, bled, and mourned together, loyal to that man.

Curious, he asked his advisor who they were. After his advisor's explanation, he couldn't believe there was someone who would aid them in their darkest days. "They're either a fool or a saint" was what he thought. Suddenly, his other advisor, Earl Kremer entered the throne room and laughed mockingly, asking how they could help with such small numbers.

Before his advisor could reply, the young man cut him off by saying it was simple and raised a small black rectangular object before getting something from the bag of his subordinates and placed it for everyone to see.

Once he was finished, a flash of light projected from one of the square objects he got from one of his subordinates and put the black rectangular object to a slim device that also emitted light. Once he inserted it, a moving picture was formed by the light projected with sound, it showed his advisor, Kremer talking to a masked man who was a spy from Estfalia.
