"It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both."

-Niccolo Machiavelli

Y/N POV

After I made things clear with Enterprise, she became more relaxed and cheerful like never before but was still a bit shy. I received word from Avrora to take care of her like I didn't know about that already. She's certainly becoming even more of the main wife each passing day. It's a shame that I couldn't bring her but it couldn't be helped. Too many important persons in the same spot is just asking for something to happen.

Kanzlerhaven was a beautiful city with similar European architecture. It was clean and the people there were very well mannered, as expected from the otherworld Prussian values. Ilia, on the other hand, was just a walking passive temptress who likes to tease everyone and has been wrapping her arms around mine for almost the duration of our arrival here. The intense gazes of men and women were starting to give me debuffs and I was beginning to consider including her drill sergeant to join us in future travels.

Picking up my thoughts, she let go of me while making a fake smile with a bit of sweat coming down her forehead and quickly changed to her dress blues while SOP... was being SOP. I didn't want to bring in a possible walking diplomatic disaster but I'm the only one who she would always listen and follow the best.

When I take a look around, the lord really did a good job with the place after knowing about the amount of destruction that happened not even a year ago. I wonder what he's like but just in case, unknown to the other party, MTF Adler-1 was around us in a circular formation. Moving around alleyways and rooftops without anyone noticing, protecting us.

Stuck in my thoughts, we arrived at the lord's mansion and begin entering through the gates that were guarded by knights that seemed very different compared to normal knights. They had an aura that spoke vast skills and experience. It's understandable if it's about the attack before but there was a large number of them.

I looked at Erich and his personal knight Karl who seemed to realize something wasn't right as well. The admiral was the only one who had a relaxed look. He didn't have any signs of malicious intent but I nevertheless prepared for the worse.

The carriage then stopped, signaling our arrival and the door was immediately opened by a servant as we were about the exit. Once we were all out, my guards and the knights regrouped until a commotion suddenly erupt.

???: brother!

The surprised and relieved voice of a young girl caught everyone's undivided attention as a small group of my guards and the knights were pushed away from someone with white hair, looking around the age of 16 to 17 rushing over to us and immediately hugged Erich in tears.

Y/N's thoughts: so those knights must be royal knights.

She was wearing something similar to Prussia's Brunswick Ducal Corps during the Napoleonic Wars. The signature black uniform, a Totenkopf, the german word for the old international symbol of death that was commonly seen on pirate shows and caution on toxic materials with the skull and two crossbones emblazoned on the front of her mirliton. 'She must be a from a Husaren Regiment' was what I thought.

???: *sobs* you idiot...*sobs* I... I never thought I'd see you again...*sobs*

*sobs*
