Prisoner of war camp

Over a thousand prisoners occupied the makeshift prison. Obedience was greatly observed as the prisoners feared for their lives after being captured and were put in 20x20 steel cages with no privacy on bathroom breaks. The depressing mood was supported by the heavy rain in the cold dark night with spotlights of the guard tower, industrial lights, and passing helicopters as their only source of light and a PVC curtain surrounding the outer part of the cage to stay dry from the rain.

In an isolated area of the camp, a lone man sat inside one the 2x2 steel cage imbued with magic nullifying properties just like the rest in an isolated area of the camp with a bruised face, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit like the any other. Augustus was an empty shell of what he used to be. The sounds of explosions and the roars of the fast-flying beings were still fresh in his memories but what struck him the most was that young boy who proclaimed himself as a king, whom he belittled and spoke vulgarities for taking away his would-be woman, defeated his own soldiers on his own.

Augustus shuddered. As a seasoned soldier himself, the thought of such a dangerous individual who can easily defeat an entire army on his own was demonic... a demon lord. No matter how much his pride wanted to deny it, there was no excuse as to what has transpired right in front of his eyes especially his near-death experience from Y/N and those two otherworldly humanoids that appeared from the fog.

"So this was what the Kaiser feared..."

There was no sign of his pride, any form of delusion nor his temper as everything he ever worked for, all the men that fought under him were all gone in a single moment's notice from the utter and precise destruction that took out all his forces and the survivors arrested.

Ever since he was detained, he had time to think clearly after a while when he was stuck in his reckless emotionally driven campaign. There was no one else to place the blame other than himself for his naïveté and attitude. The battle which the Terrans now call "The Kaiserschlacht" changed the entire perspective of every participating belligerents and observers. Despite their forms of detainment, they were treated humanely but that was then they discovered a new form of torture. Boredom.

Yes, boredom. Despite the occasional passing vehicles from the distance, everyone rarely did anything and had to followed a specific schedule. They were glad at first but the repetitiveness of it made them lose their minds. Same food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, same clothes and times breaks, it made them suspect that it was a slow but effective form of torture which... they weren't wrong if they believe it.

The headlights of three vehicles caught his attention when they approached the site. Soldiers with a mysterious and deadly aura disembarked from the vehicles and talked with one of the prison guards at the gate before opening the perimeter gate. Guard dogs were barking aggressively at the new arrivals and their handler doing his best to control them until they started to calm down immediately as a familiar sight caught his eye.
