I walk out of the kitchen and into the backyard with many things on my mind. Who could this lost child be? Where could he be? Does he know who his real mom is? I take my phone out to finally text Yoongi and let him know that I need to speak with him. I put my phone back in my pocket and see Jin walking my direction. "Hey handsome where are you off too?" I ask as I start walking with him.
He rolls his eyes and I realize that his hair is a mess, his uniform is filthy and there's traces of dirt on his arms and face. "I'm off to take a shower."
"What happened?"
"Your brother was trying to be nice and help us with the lighting, but accidentally kept breaking the bulbs so I gave him the task of just holding the ladder while I change the bulbs out,"
"And?"
"I really don't know how he managed to do this, but one of the screws just came off in his hands and the step I was on collapsed, and so did I."
"Our friends and I did call him the God of Destruction for a reason" I say as I have a small flashback of some of the things he's broken throughout the years. "I'm sorry. He never means to break anything it just always sort of happens."
"I understand, Mr. Song, however, scolded him and told him to just go back inside the house and he'll finish the rest." We continue walking in comfortable silence until we reach the employee's home. "You seem tense. Is everything alright?" I look at him in confusion.
"How can you tell?" I ask.
"You're quieter than usual. You can come inside if you want. We can talk about it."
I raise an eyebrow slightly surprised at his proposition. "Aren't you worried I'll try to take advantage of this situation?"
"I guess I'm willing to risk it this one time. Anyways I might have a couple things in mind to help you feel a little more relaxed. Just let me shower first." He says as he opens the door leading me inside. "You should know where my room is by now I'll be there in a bit." He motions me towards the hallway as he walk towards the bathroom.
I walk in his room and take a look around. I see a bunch of pictures hung on the wall right above his desk. There's a picture of him with who I assume to be his parents and Min Seo standing next to him as he blows out a candle on his birthday cake. Above it is a picture of his mom and Min Seo when they were younger. They looked like teenagers in the picture it looked like they were having a fun day at the beach. Next to that picture is a picture of Jin at his high school graduation. I've noticed something peculiar about him. He doesn't look like he's aged. This picture is at least six years old and he looks exactly like that today with the only exception being his hair, he had it brown then right now he has it a sort of dark silver color. Below that picture is a single picture of his mom who seemed to be in her early twenties.
"She's gorgeous isn't she?" I hear Jin ask from the doorway. I stay looking at the picture observing her before replying.
"You look just like her."
"Where do you think I get my good looks from?" He let's out a small laugh as he sets down a tray with two cups of tea. "She took that picture right before she left Seoul."
"I thought from what I heard your first day here is that you got here from out of the city didn't you?"
"I did, but my mom didn't always live there. She's originally from Seoul. She left, though, she said she never really liked the city. It's too crowded."
"What about you? Do you like the city?" I question turning my attention towards him.
"I honestly really miss home," he pauses and lightly nibbles on his bottom lip, "but I keep liking it more as the days pass."
