My father continues holding Namjoon as he wipes the tears from his eyes. I look around to see everyone. My friends' eyes blown wide open, due to the shock. My gaze then falls on Jin, who has gone completely blank. Until now it hits me what he could be possibly going through. This is his mom we're talking about. The woman who gave him life and only now he's learning who she was. The brother he thought was dead was actually alive and he had no idea he was closer to him than he thought.

I quietly stand up and sit down next to him. "Are you okay?" I whisper.

His eyes don't leave the woman he thought was his aunt as he replies. "I don't know."

"If this is too much for you, Min Seo will probably understand if you want some time to process this first."

"No, I need to know everything," he snaps. I nod slightly and proceed to get up, but a hand pulls me back down. I turn to face Jin who's holding on to me. "Please, don't let me go." He turns to me, and his doe eyes bore into mine.

"Never," I sternly say as my grip on his hand tightens. He gives me a small smile and our attention goes back to Min Seo and we all wait for her to continue.

"Eun-jae wasn't happy about me giving her son away to the woman who wanted her dead, but it was the only way we were able to be close to Namjoon, so she had to learn to live with it. I visited her at least once a month to keep her updated on how he was doing. I made sure to always take my days off unexpectedly and took different transportation to visit Eun-jae.

Everything was going as fine as it could considering the situation and after a year of living in Boseong, Eun-jae got pregnant again and that's when she had Seokjin. Of course I wanted to try to be there as much as possible to help her, and I did up until Jin turned two. That was when Seoyun started questioning my constant traveling. I told Eun-jae about it and she freaked out. She was scared that Seoyun would find her eventually, and since she had Jin to protect she said it would be safer if we both disconnected from each other for a while to get Seoyun off my trail. When I was questioned about my whereabouts I lied and said I was dating someone and that I would travel to Busan to meet him. I visited Eun-jae a couple more times and then stopped eventually and said that I stopped traveling because the man I was dating broke up with me."

"I remember that," Father spoke. "I had just gotten into another fight with Seoyun. You were on the kitchen floor sobbing while downing a bottle of wine. You were so sad, and heartbroken."

Min Seo nods in agreement. "I was heartbroken, but not because of a man." Tears come out of her eyes once again. "She was all I had. I was all alone when I came back that day," she sobs.

"No you weren't," my dad says. "I told you that you will always have me and Namjoon by your side. That you didn't need a man to keep you happy. I didn't know that you were talking about someone else at the time, but I was honest. Even after what happened, I told you that I'll always be a friend that you can rely on."

I furrow my eyebrows as I catch something he says. "What do you mean by 'after what happened?' What happened?" I ask.

Both their faces turn red as they look down in shame. "I was just so angry, and Min Seo was so sad..." he trails off, and I hear a small 'oh' of realization coming from Jin.

"You two didn't... did you?" Jin asks in disbelief.

"We both just wanted to feel better. We had been drinking and it just sort of happened," my dad replies.

"You two slept together?" I question. They both nod still looking down.

"We started an affair that night. We didn't know what we were thinking, but it just sort of happened," Father explains. "After a month, I knew I had to tell Seoyun. I thought this would finally be the last straw and she would finally give me the divorce when I told her I was cheating on her, but she said she couldn't leave me because she was pregnant. I left again after she told me the news, and didn't come back until she had given birth." He turns to look at Min Seo. "I don't think I ever apologized for leaving you behind to deal with her by yourself. I knew our affair made her treat you even worse. I assumed she'd just try to get you fired, but she wanted to keep you and you wanted to stay for Namjoon. I'm sorry."
