Chapter 28

Jimin's POV

Min Seo and I anxiously continue pacing back and forth waiting to hear news from Jin.

"What happened?" She asks for the third time since we got here almost three hours ago. She sits down defeated as she covers her face with her hands. I sit down next to her and bring her close to me.

"I don't know. Everything seemed too weird when I walked in to Jin's room." She looks up at me questioningly as if asking for me to continue. "I was in my room with Jungkook when we heard Tae yelling from next door, when we got there he was on Ken beating the life out of him."

"And Jin?" she asks.

"He looked dead. I went over to him and I could smell the liquor immediately."

"I know my nephew, and he wouldn't be capable of cheating on Taehyung."

"Of course I know that Min Seo, I never implied that I actually thought he would willingly do anything with Ken."

Her eyes water again in horror. "You don't think he was-"

"Family of Kim Seokjin?" the doctor interrupts.

"I'm his aunt, how is he?"

"He experienced an overdose, we had to pump his stomach in order to remove the toxic substances in his system." He informs us. He flips through his clip board. "The drugs we found were flurazepam and flunitrazepam. These two drugs mixed with alcohol caused his body to react the way it did."

"What are those drugs for?"Min Seo asked.

"They're used to treat severe insomnia." I feel a lump in my throat as I turn to Min Seo and he continues. "They're also known as date rape drugs."

"No!" I reach for her and sit her back down on a chair. "Please tell me that didn't happen to him!"

"He asked that we administer a sexual assault exam after he woke up, and we found no traces of DNA or forceful penetration, there is however scarring surrounding the anus of the patient that looks like it's been healing for the past couple days, so we'll have to question him when he's fully awake. He went back to sleep after the exam, but you're allowed to go in to his room. If there are any other questions, please let me know."

"Thank you, doctor." I say still holding on to Min Seo. "Hear that Min Seo. He's going to be fine. We all now he had a wild day with Taehyung a couple days ago, so that's probably the scarring the doctor's talking about." I comb through her hair trying to calm her down. She let's out a sigh of relief.

"I'm so relieved, but what did that kid get out of all of this then?"

"I don't know that's what I found weird. After Tae left, Ken was laughing as if he enjoyed getting caught." We look at each other for a second before I continue. "Like he planned for this to happen."

Tae POV

"Where's Ken?!" I yell barging into Mother's office.

"Stop making so much noise, you're going to give me a headache." she whined pinching the bridge of her nose. "Take a seat. Let's talk like civilized people and then maybe I'll tell you where  he is."

"Since when do you care about talking things out?" I question to which she snorts and rolls her eyes.

"I don't, but I won't allow mere servants creating drama in my own home. I knew that cook was no good. He reeked of desperation and obviously got what he wanted acting like the slut he is. I should've never let your father hire him."

"Don't talk about him like that" I growl and she smirks.

"I give him props, he obviously has you wrapped around his finger. I thought you were smarter than this."

I slam my hand on her desk. "He was drugged. Ken needs to be arrested , who knows what he did to Jin while he was passed out!"

"Says who? The guy who you caught in bed with another man?" she laughs. "You're so stupid, it's obvious he's just trying to cover his mistakes with excuses."

"How did you know I saw them in bed together?"

"Ken came in to explain to me what happened with Seokjin before you barged in. He said he didn't want to be a part of any misunderstandings, resigned then left. He was worried about how your precious boyfriend made a big deal after he woke up and didn't want to be accused of something he didn't do."

"He's lying Jungkook told me Jin looked so bad that Jimin and Min Seo had to take him to the hospital."

"And why didn't Jungkook follow them to the hospital?" She asks getting up from her chair walking towards me. "I'm pretty sure he would've wanted to be there for Jimin, Jin is his best friend after all." I start feeling irritated. What is she trying to get at? "Don't you think it's too beneficial for the two people who will do anything protect Seokjin are the only ones who would know exactly what happened last night?" I snap my head up to look at her.

"No, Min Seo raised me and has always protected me. She would never lie to me." She rolls her eyes at me and goes behind her desk looking through one of the drawers.

"Don't forget that it was her job to look after you. She got paid for it, but when it comes down to it, who do you think her loyalty stands with? The spoiled rich kid she was forced to deal with or her own blood related nephew who she did everything she could to have him close to her?" She pulls out pictures and toss them towards me. "I got these from our security cameras in the backyard." I look down and feel my heart breaking for the second time this morning. "Does that look like someone who was forced into doing anything?" I scan the pictures one by one. In one it shows Ken walking with Jin by his side with his arm around him. The next one he has Jin facing him with his hands wrapped around his waist and their foreheads pressed against each other and the last one he's carrying Jin with legs wrapped around him and Ken's face buried in his neck. "He fooled you. Are you really going to let him get away with this?" I crumble the pictures in my hands and storm out of the office straight to my room and lock the door. I hear banging coming from the other side.

"Taehyung let us in!" I hear my friends call out.

"Go away!" I yell back curling up in a ball still holding on to the crumbled pictures.
